Wasn't Giovinco top 3 in goals+assists this season according to Alen's stats? You really have to stop the exaggeration of Giovinco's failure. Let's stop acting as if he has been an Isla type of failure which seems to be the judgement around here.

Giovinco makes so much more sense to keep than Quag. He's much younger and has just entered his prime, offers you more playmaking, is more versatile and can play SS, winger and trequartista depending on which formation Conte decides to go with. I just don't think they'll dump him after one year.

Not at all. You must see these stats in the context that we are speaking about a starting forward. If you see goals plus assists, Gio has 17 to Quag's 16. A player with far less game time and a few more decisive moments to his credit. It's not that I think Gio is an Isla level failure. Im a fan of his mind you, but he just doesn't cut it.

It's not one or the other for me but Quag despite being the older player has shown that he's been able to effectively adapt while Gio hasnt been able to do despite being young and entering his prime. I'm not against him but I genuinely think irrespective of Quag or Matri staying here, Gio doesn't deserve a starting role on this team. He's not good enough.

Like I said, the forward line is the only line in which all the players are up for debate/available for sale if the right offer came in. We will be lucky if we sell even one of our forwards, and that's why we need to keep our options open.

Ideally, I'd like a front line of Suarez/Benzema/Sanchez (I know he isn't at their level, but he seems the most realistic option), Llorente, Vucinic (for another season or two), Muriel (for the 2014-2015 season, once Giovinco fails to deliver yet again), and another youngster (Boayke/Gabbiadini) by the 2014-2015 season.

As for next season, Anelka, Bendtner and Iaquinta are all but gone, which leaves us with Llorente, Quag, Matri, Vucinic, and Gio. Get rid of one of Quag/Matri/Gio and bring in a star performer. Better yet, get rid of two of them, and bring in a star performer + a promising youngster.

Mirko? Because we suck without him, much, much, much more than we do with him in the team and has played almost every match when he was fit.
