Agree.

Don't agree with wishing him to succeed and our strikers to flop.
That's what will happen though. He is scoring more in less game time and they are not going to get any better with more time and guaranteed starting place. They will just get more complacent and not even worry about putting in the effort to lose starting spot.

He's outscoring the other forwards we have now, and seeing that they aren't being considered to be part of our problem, I think he will continue to outscore them in another team too. Wishing him success doesn't mean I want our forwards to fail, but factually they are failing and will continue to fail. Until we sit up and realise that we've got bigger problems than Quag in our forward line.

Dont have anything against Quag but his fanboys make me go really wild sometimes :sergio:
Likewise. We don't have anything against any posters here but when the player is hated upon or you have members coming here and saying he should be sold, that too when he's doing better than every other forward on the team, then you got to consider why the fanboys are going to show up.

Yeah. Not that is has any real reason for him being sold though...those wheels were set in motion some time ago...
Well if you mean what I'm thinking of then clearly the management is idiotic. (pls don't infract me). It seems the football on the pitch is coming last these days.

And Liverpool say no, which they will, then what?
Then we break the bank and up the offer. It may be expensive proposition now, but it'll be a lot cheaper in the long run when we won't be spending 18 m on players we don't intend to use, or who wed get half the price for one season later, when we try to upgrade and then end up doing so only marginally. Bit of a vicious cycle tll we get a valid longer term, world class solution like Suarez would be.

January would be a terrible time to even try for someone like Suarez. Liverpool are going to want an astronomical fee to even think about accepting, look at Torres and Carroll (lol).

'Breaking the bank' isn't realistic for a club in our financial position, but a smarter move in the summer might well be. We'd probably have to shift a couple of players though.

Quag has been our best striker this year
within a mile

Vuci has been horrible all year
gio is average
matri has been horrible all year and lost his confidence (what kind of player are you then)

bendtner and anelka no need to name
i would sell matri even for 8m and promote beltrame to first team
quag, gio, vuci, beltrame and anelka till summer

Was just thinking given we play Chievo this Sunday, both of Quags goals against them this season at home were fantastic, I thought the 2nd especially with that turn was world class.

I want another striker to arrive be it Lopez or Belfodil, but not at the expense of Quagliarella. If anyone should be sold upfront Matri should be the first to go then Giovinco, honestly I think we could end up regretting it as he is our best finisher
