Thing is he will be an experienced campaigner to take along come the world cup, so a good idea would be to integrate him now. El Sha, Balo, Gio, Oswaldo, Destro would need at least a couple or seasoned campaigners IMO. Be it Quag, Cassano, etc.
Likeable no doubt, but he's got to be pretty insane to try that corner bicycle kick ever so often, given that he claims you need a bit of insanity to try it.

Wouldn't that normalize the insanity into sanity? If you try something constantly and eventually succeed then it doesn't really sound like "a moment of insanity (inspiration)" anymore. Just systematic practice.
Stop start game. Disappeared for periods, but would be silly to bench him against Chelsea midweek. Vucinic was clearly rested keeping in mind that game. Go Vuci-Quag IMO.
Besides some really fantastic one touch passes on occasion, he was too uninvolved and disengaged from rest of the team. From 23rd minute and on, you could barely see him on the pitch.
I think his disappearance had a lot to do with Lazio parking the bus, putting three men on Quag as the last man. He was outnumbered on most of the passes he received while playing back to goal. But then again, he is the most effective forward of the lot and should be kept on for as long as possible while he's converting his chances. Saw the highlights and I've got to say, the 'deflected shot' was more like a play than a lucky deflection.
