Didn't watch the game, but when my friend txted me the score and told me Quag scored two goals, I had a feeling at least one of the two would be spectacular. Either ways, much love to him.

He uses a lot of his instinct before going for a shot, thats what makes his goals beautiful. But apart from his directness, I think he's also got enough talent to fall back and create build up play too. Which is why he's unique. I thought his corners were dangerous, the pass to Giachh and above all, his header from outside the box. A good blend of physicality and intelligence.

The thing he lacks the most (being a foward) is probably the instinct i.e. Trez or Pippo, but he can't have everything :p and he's certainly not a poacher either.

Definitely, I'd probably even say he's both. He really does have the abilties of both. Clinical finishing, good movement & positioning, amazing technique, good dribbling, good passing & vision etc etc

Unless tiredness plays a part (which it probably shouldn't considering how long he's been out :p) he should definitely start vs Fiorentina and maybe Shakhtar too depending on if he is 100%

When both are on form: Mirko creates, Quag finishes. We'll have a deadly upfront.

I feel so bad debating how poor Quag is with you back then. But I guess everyone do that once in a while :D

Now you're pushing it :D . Quags does have a bit of the x-factor, but he ain't what we're making him out to be here. I'm hoping that a good in form Quags can deliver 12-15 goals in a Serie A season, we shouldn't be aiming any higher than that.

It's the truth. Just check his 10/11 goal & assist ratio p/game vs Mirko's in 11/12. And Quag was in a far worse team.
So we're going to compare the one really good season (or half season) he's had throughout his career with a selected season from Mirko? Man oh man this forum never fails to surprise me.

I'm outta here.

hahah. Thanks Mart. Almost a decade here. Unbelievable. I remember the early days so well, when you first reprimanded me for hating on Pippo. :) man its been a while.
