Got involved late into the agme. The wicked volley and a couple of neat passes aside, he looked off today. What was more surprising was that he hardly ran around either. Wondering if he's still not fully fit.

I can't help but lean towards your point of view. Funnily enough, Quag was playing his best when we were playing like a provincial side.

Quag should be 3rd-4th choice at best, because I don't think he has what it takes to be a starter for a team with our ambitions.

Not harsh, he is meh. He doesn't have one skill that he is very good at or that makes him worth while. Can't dribble that well, can't finish that well, not good at creating, he's not good enough to be an SS nor is he a prima punta.. dude is basically an average player without any special skill except for wanting to shoot the ball from impossible angles which he can do for another club.

Wait, that actually does sound a bit harsh :D

You're right though.

I may not have agreed with all of Conte's decisions throughout the season (so far), but I damn sure understood virtually all of them.
But Quag becoming a starter again all of a sudden is something I can't figure out yet. Must have something to do with individual fitness issues, because I really don't think it has something to do with the opponent we're facing. Not really a lot pointing in that direction anyway.

Laughable views really on a night, when all of our forwards failed to do anything. Caceres having an off game didn't help Vucinic or Quag. I like how one off game here makes you a provincial player. Please tell me, which off our forwards had a good game last night. Everything that holds true for Quag probably holds true for them since they all played in similar circumstances. If anything Quag created chances out of nowhere. He definitely had an off night and it could be attributed to anything from an injury to just being off his game. Oh and JJ you just owned Sun's ass, like Parma will own all of Giovinco come June.

I had it down to athleticism.

Edit: For what it's worth, I think Quagliarella works best with Del Piero alongside him. Think their movement is better as a pair than other options.

Maybe so. Still odd though.

Agree with this. For some reason, he doesn't seem able to play with Vucinic. Or the other way around, I'm not sure.

I dont wanna say he is provincial... but yesterday everything went wrong. Like someone mentioned...we also need to take in account that all crosses from caceres and co. were crap. I think i just saw one good cross that came from pirlo, and even him failed a couple too.

Definitely yesterday they were bad/lazy/unlucky, and i say unlucky because of the wrongly called offside from quags.
