I'm also hoping we find a good left back in the market, that could start for us, but that doesn't mean that I hate Grosso or that he couldn't end up doing good for another team. Looking at our current team, it seems like we aim to play physical&effective football, with lots of fast counters, while I can see Grosso doing good in a team that holds possession for most of the game, as he is good with the ball at his feet. We just don't have that kind of team, we have two runners on the wings and two DM's in the center. That's the reason why he should leave, not because he's awful player and every real Juve fan should hate him.

I didn't watch every single Lyon match during his spell with them, but I'll assume neither did you. You don't have to be a Pro Manager to see and understand that Grosso was just good for the Azzurri during WC 2006, but was average at Palermo and Inter, was mediocre for Lyon and sucked with us.

I've been firmly in the camp which is still very critical of Amauri even if he did have a good game against the pub team. After this performance people have been going off saying "I wouldn't sell him to Real Madrid for 20m because he'll score goals there", . I'll say it now. As time has gone on and I've had time to read responses to his transfer, I have become a lot more accepting to Pepe. Especially if we're able to get Krasic for the right wing and use him on the left. It has nothing to do with the goal he scored against Lyon either, I made my mind up way before then. I guess it has something to do with him actually looking like a player who will sweat blood for the team, something Buffon noted on before the off season. And of course, Gigi is absolutely spot on, it's exactly what we needed.

You're not going to change my mind on Grosso at Lyon. Mediocre/average there, he isn't the quality we need. As a sub, he is too old, and we have De Ceglie who is more athletic and energetic.

Well this is a place where people share opinions, so you have to expect it. I won't speak on behalf of the rest of the forum overreacting to one match against a Sunday league team or a friendly match against a team made up of the first 11 people Del Neri found on the streets. Who is blaming solely Grosso for last season's nightmare? The whole team was bad last season, with an exception of 2 or 3 players, but you have to realize that certain players sucked wherever they played and are too old to up their game.

Nah, it actually felt bad that so many Juve fans were so fast to bash a Juventus player. I just don't see a need for calling players names, since it's the players that makes the team we love and support. Maybe someone is supporting just the symbol, the name or the merchandise, at least it seems like it., but I'd feel better if Juve didn't have those "fans" that talks about the good old days and hates the team nowadays.
