I ask if there are better options out there. Maybe Prandelli, maybe Gasperini. If there are better, they are very few. Capello would at least know what deadwood to get rid of, who to keep, who to bring in.
He can't fix mediocre players, constant injuries, clueless directors & low morale within the team. Those are problems that have to be dealt with individually (his fitness methods and pre-season training may actually help out the injury situation and I low morale can be helped by winning games). But as far as getting the right coach goes, he's one of the best. We need to get back on the right track soon. he will not be a long term solution, but we can't afford to wait.
I agree that we can't rely on the old Italian style, but that's something we can think about when we actually can target being competitive in Europe. We're way off from that and we have to focus on competing in Serie A.
Anyway, Capello is not gonna come, so you can all relax. i still worry about our future though. Will next season be worse than this?
