FFS I don't say that I liked any of this what happened but getting Capello goes into the same category! We fucked our first chance up because we didn't gave our selfs time, you can't go down like that and be back the next day. Now we are really in trouble and this time we should do it right.

Don't you think that Capello is one of the best coaches in the world? Who else would be a better option?

Capello and Lippi is mediocrity.

Nonsense, look at their medal collection. Ranieri, Ferrara and Zaccheroni is mediocrity.

If you want to express the attributes of younger forward-thinking coaches then by all means, but your current argument is basically that you don't like the football of Capello and Lippi, not their ability.

Right now we have neither. We are nowhere close. We are at risk of going under to teams like Napoli and Fiorentina. Capello doesn't have to be here forever. A Scudetto would be nice, even if that's expecting too much. Is he not one of the best coaches in the world? He can get us on the right path. Hiddink is gone. We don't have much options. I would be happy with Benitez, Prandelli, Gasperini, Pellegrini, but a lot of people here wouldn't even accept those. Who they want, God alone knows. They have a problem with everyone.

Now we have a squad half filled with mediocre players,constant injuries,clueless directors & low morale within the team.Do you really think he's the man to fix all of that?He might be a quick fix solution but not a long term solution.I don't see him sticking with the club if he experienced a rotten run like the current scenario.

My problem with him is his ridged style of play & his stubborn defensive minded tactics.We need to move on from the typical italian style of play if we are ever to go forward imo.

You only have to look at England to see what he can do with a team with some great players and some pretty average ones who are very low on morale.

I agree with the sentiment, but I think 2 years under a Capello or Lippi standard coach would set us up perfectly.

What's with the "Look at England", he only qualified it's not like he won the World Cup ffs. Some of you making it like he achieved something.

We are talking about England here, the least they can do is to qualify to the World Cup, he didn't qualify with the Zimbabwe NT but with England.

Those are problems that have to be dealt with individually (his fitness methods and pre-season training may actually help out the injury situation and I low morale can be helped by winning games). But as far as getting the right coach goes, he's one of the best. We need to get back on the right track soon. he will not be a long term solution, but we can't afford to wait.

I agree that we can't rely on the old Italian style, but that's something we can think about when we actually can target being competitive in Europe. We're way off from that and we have to focus on competing in Serie A.

Anyway, Capello is not gonna come, so you can all relax. i still worry about our future though. Will next season be worse than this?

He did achieve something, qualification and 27 points from 30. When you compare that to the predecessor. But I won't start listing Capello's other achievements...

Better options? There are plenty,it's all a matter of splashing the cash.Capello most definitely doesn't earn peanuts & i don't think real madrid or the english fa spared expenses to secure his services.

Name me 5 names instead of plenty, which could make us real (I mean real not till winter break or even earlier) scudetto contenders. We would be so much better if we had kept Marchionni and Zanetti instead of buying Melo this summer and got ourselves WC coach for 3 seasons or even more. Money is not the problem, we could live this summer without signing a striker for big money, we should go for an expensive coach instead. I'd choose Capello or Hiddink over Villa or Aguero.

That's because they covet the CL way more than our club does & they knew he wouldn't have the nads to deliver.

We need a disciplinarian like Capello, but given the situation with DD, Ranieri and even Ciro (remember management being in the dugout towards the end of his stint), his authority would be undermined by the board who ultimately have the final say.

Personally, I do not want Capello. If we are willing to match his wages, there are other options available. Given our mental weakness and lack of consistently this season, I do like the idea of a strict coach though.
