Lets face it we generally suck in europe and most especially against english opposition.

Anyway I agree with Andy's comments this is too backwards, it may be a short term solution but we need to look well ahead.

I can't downplay Arsenal's achievements. It'll be stupid. The team almost won the CL.

But if you followed Juve that season you'll know what I'm talking about. Juve started that season stronger than any other time in our history. We finished the first half of the season with a 17-1-1 record. The players were flying on the pitch.

But starting from March, due to playing the same 13 players all season long, the guys started feeling the fatigue. Right before, during and after the Arsenal matches Juve's record was 1-7-1. In the end we even risked the title, even though we had some 12 pts or more advantage in the league.

No matter how great Arsenal was that season, there was no way to do what they did to Juve in April, in the September-January period.
Eliminate Juve, yes they could have done that in September too, but outrun them like that, no way.
The old legs, the thin bench and the fatigue influenced our performances in the second part of the season.
This i agree with.

Exactly right.

Our poor form in the CL was the pay-off for doing so well early on in Serie A. We had amazing consistency because we always fielded practically the same team. In the long-run this cost us our legs. In Serie A we had a margin by then that it didn't matter anymore, but CL only starts by that time.

I will say it again, if you want Capello back your not a Juventus fan. It's that simple. He was the first fucker to jump off the boat when Juventus started sinking, i hate him to the core.

Half of you are talking about how great of a coach he was for us, bull fucking shit, did you see the squad we had back then, (Buffon, Zambro, Canna, Thuram, Zebina, Nedved, Viera, Emerson, Camoranesi, DP, Ibrahimovic, Mutu etc.) we didn't need a coach and we could have won the league, ffs, we were one of the best teams in the world hands down. Have some goddamn pride guys, your supposed to be Juve fans, fuck. It's like taking back Viera or Zlatan after they left us for Inter..makes me angry that u would ever want him back.

I think this season proved to us the effect of a bad coach on a team no matter how good the squad is.

Exactly!

A lot of people thought we were going to win the scudetto this season. On the one hand because we "improved" the team & on the other hand because we got rid of a "useless" manager.
How times have changed...

J'espère que tu n'objectes pas si je réponds en anglais ;)

It's a difficult question for me. There are quite a lot of coaches that I like, but I find it really hard to say which one I think would be right for this current Juve.

In Italy, I've always had a soft spot for Prandelli, so I wouldn't mind him. But I have a feeling that he won't make us a title contender.
Others in Italy that I like are Gasperini (don't think he's the right guy for Juve though) & Cosmi (don't ask me why I like him, I honestly don't know myself). I also liked Ranieri before he became our coach. In fact, I still kinda like him, but he's obviously not the right coach for us (anymore).

Others that come to mind are Gerets & Hiddink, but both of them are very expensive & have proven to be short term coaches, so I'm not sure they are good options.
I also have a soft spot for Blanc, seems to me like he has the potential to have a great career. Still like Deschamps as well, but he doesn't exactly strike me as a "winning coach".

More than likely, yeah.

Like I said, I do have a soft spot for Deschamps (probably mostly emotional, I admit), but I don't see him as a winning coach.
