I really don't understand this helping our defenders nonsense. In that case, he should have been hired as a coach, not as a player. How in the world is he supposed to help them grow and develop, when he will be starting most games, and the players (whom he is presumably supposed to be helping) won't even have the chance to implement the knowledge they have acquired?! Having said that, the guy is here, there is nothing we can do about it. Let's just hope his fuck-ups are minimal, and that he can actually contribute something to this team.

I have a guy in my futsal team, that always talks on the pitch and i understand the game a lot better since he is there (about two years now), because there is a lot to learn from him.
When i go to my local championship, there is a team full with youngsters and two veterans, one of them, who used to play in EPL, also always talks on the pitch and organizes the game, and even if he's pretty much in the same level as others, because he has recieved a lot of kicks in his career, that team always performs much better with him.
And it is so in every team, no matter how big are they, the defence out of all lines must have a leader, that has the expierience to organize the other guys, when to run and when not, etc. and i don't believe that we could've got anyone better at it than Cannavaro. Sure, he may perform as an old fart and dissapoint everyone, but i believe him being on the pitch will already take our defensive game a level higher, not talking about who is better defender between Cannavaro and Legrottaglie.

You probably will ask a question about why then Madrid and Italy have sucked so hard, but it's not easy to perform when the team tactic and whole team game is absolute garbage or when the others (midfielders in particular) are playing like an old farts.

They should have thought of that when they made the deal, already happened, not the fans fault, minority my ass.
like someone here said when quoting Sissoko. He is part of the team now a true fan should support the team and its players (Cannavaro is among them).
It`s your choice to boo him or not after all, but the more mature and more supportive choice if to support him as well as he is part of Juventus now.
that`s the last thing you are going to hear from me about it after all it`s your way of seeing things and your descision and I should respect it even if I don`t agree with it.

TBH this will be the only solution. I don't see the fans listening to our Mang or anyone. Del Piero is the only one who can ask them to stop.
I agree. But i am also afraid that when the season starts, some part of our crowd will still be booing him, and i am afraid this could cause some problems, Canna`s performance will surely be influenced, besides his confidence, and it could cause shaky moments in the defence. I am quite worried actually.

I thought about it myself but at the other hand he is a pure proffesional and might be able to ignore it

If DP ask then i will shut up about Cannavaro, he can do that but i don't think DP will do that because honestly i think deep inside the old guards don't like the fact that he's back.

To me, apart from the fact that Del Piero is Juve fans idol and an icon, to me he makes sense in everything he says, so if he's going to ask the fans not to lift banners against him or boo him then I'll accept it and everyone else will think twice before doing such a thing.

I don't think anyone will listen to Secco, Blanc or even Sissoko or any other player but someone like Del Piero can make a difference.

:agree: if Il Capitano says it's OK, then who are we to say anything? and notably, Ale has not really been that happy to see him...he's made the token comment in the media, but one gets the feeling that he didn't mean it

Also you guys seem to miss the whole point of this, we want him out before the season start, we want the club to realize their mistake and get another defender, he's not the last defender on the planet, once the season starts i won't be able to do much or say much but support the team and hope he does good but aslong as there is a 1% chance of him getting the fuck out then let's put the pressure on the club, i also believe this is how the ultras think.

The very earliest Cannavaro will leave is January.

If this goes on the way it's going fans splitting, fans war etc. Then the idiots who decided to bring him back will have no choice but to let him go. It's a power play between the management and the fans and the window is open till the transfer window closes.

I don't even think he'll leave until next season. He's not leaving. He made it clear that even if he's booed he wont listen to anyone.

Btw, if he had some dignity he wouldn't have returned back.

IMO it won't last, and will be over by the 1st 1-2 matches of the season...the fans are bored right now but when the season gets going, there will be much more important issues at hand

It will be over with the kick off of the first game, after that there will be no point is protesting, and as you said we will have more important issues to worry about. Ultras are smart btw and i believe this is how they think.

No it's not, they booed Zebina and chanted "odio Zebina" during matches last season.
