Yes exactly!

I think it's because nobody really knows the league and the teams. I mean, the big three leagues (Spain, England, Italy) are all very well-known. The Bundesliga is another big shot with fairly recent European successes and even the Portuguese Superliga and the Dutch Eredivisie have some teams that everybody knows because of their famous history and European successes.

French teams, on the other hand, have never actually won a European club competition. Not that I recall anyway.

I dont know really, normally I dont mind who is playing, I can normally watch any team, but with french football, i dont know normally unless it is a VERY good game, normally i just cant wait for it to end, i dont know why its not like its really bad or anyhting, just the way I feel...

I do watch the Ligue 1 sometimes whether I know its on, like the show Ligue 1 games in the UK on really late, and sometimes I do watch them, but its not as "fun" i guess as other leagues...

EDIT: Erik, I'm pretty sure that Marseille won the Euro cup in 1994, I think

Marseille beat Milan 1-0 in the 92/93 UCL final. The very first edition. I remember that edition cos it was the first UCL, and a Nigerian got the very first UCL goal...

Anyone here remember Dan Amokachi?

Who? I only remember because Rudi Voeller played in that game.

Not that game. Amokachi was in Brugge at the time, and he scored against Besiktas (or was it Fernabache?). The first goal ever of the competition. The media here made a lot of noise about it.
