I don't see the point of signing Stendardo.

We have the quantity of CBs already. What we lack is quality.

Actually yeah,

Legro,Chiellini,Andrade,Mellberg.

i was thinking if we are going to sign any other WC CB...who is gonna see the bench,Legro+Andrade?with Mellberg first option as backup?

it's hard to imagine us bringing another CB...we already have 4.if we keep Stendardo 5...

Yeah, but we can't be sure of Andrade. So I'd say we have 3,5 CBs.

Yes to the MArchionni deal, no to the almiron deal.

Marchionni is made of glass and never plays..it is a shame as he was very good at Parma.

Anyway, we'll have Legro, Stendardo and Andrade as back up for CB, with Mellberg also being an option. However, i think Mellberg will play at right back if Grygera doesnt find his form.

Chiellini still needs a partner at CB...Zapata should be the man!

What the hell? Is there any friggin benefit that of signing Stendardo? All that means is that we are increasing our CB department with CRAP. He is worse than Legrottaglie and Andrade, so will obviously be a bencher. He is a hindrance to any hopes we have of signing a Champions League standard defender(I'm not even asking for world class, because it seems like that is too high to aim for these days). His presence means that Legrottaglie will be starting again.

Imagine if something happens to Chiellini or Legrottaglie now:eek: . Everyone knows Andrade won't be available by the time CL knockout stages come around. He'll be lying down in the medical room, watching from TV, our asses get handed to us by the likes of Nuno Gomes, because low Standardo miskicked a clearance.

Imagine we're gonna have to hope that nothing happens to the almighty Legro, previous winner of the Golden Bin Award. Admittedly, he had a surprisingly good season. One in which he has earned the right to be on our bench for our CL campaign next season.

No no no and another big NO to this deal. We allready have 10 defenders in our team for next season (legro, chiellini, zebina, grygera, criscito, molinaro, sali, mellberg, andrade and prob. de cegglie) so adding another CB is just another :faq2:ed up move nothing more. Marchioni is a quality winger in he's full fitness. Selling a winger (position we have shortage in) and buying another "very avarege" defender is just pure stupidity. We should buy quality players that will be starters only, buying another back up in a position that we have allready sooo many players in is making no sence.....Hope this is a joke........

we dont need Stendardo, he was loaned simply because we were desperately short of central defenders at the time.
I say we send his ass back to Lazio, sell Amiron and use the cash towards signing Xabi Alonso!
