This is a interesting read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerasimov_doctrine

Go to: ‘Gerasimov’s view on future warfare’ to understand the Wiki page in the context of the Tweet you posted. Basically the precursor of what we cal hybrid warfare now.

galeotti later said that he invented the whole gerasimov doctrine and it doesn't exist. it's referenced in the wiki too

what is a real thing though is russia's influence on multiple countries. here's a study on hungary: https://www.crcb.eu/?p=1350
and here's the (probably stopped) kremlin watch program's publications: https://europeanvalues.cz/en/our-programs/kremlin-watch/publications/
and it's been going on for a while, here's a 2017 article from hungarian journalists: https://index.hu/english/2017/01/30/we_are_not_paid_agents_of_russia_we_do_it_out_of_conviction/
this has been working since 2015: https://x.com/euvsdisinfo
    there's this too: https://stratcomcoe.org/
etc... i could go on for a week

yet when moscow decides to run a tiktok campaign to support their puppet who runs for presidency of an independent country, nobody can stop their campaign in time

Even though it’s contested I think it’s still interesting, because after 11 years we have all the factual prove of Russian interference in especially the information space. I think it’s safe to say that it’s a Russian doctrine, even if it isn’t directly from that general.

    after 11 years?!

what i've posted dates back to 2015 and it's been there even much earlier. russia has been once again the rabid dog of the planet since the early '00s after a short period of moderate normalization post-su

11 years since that alleged doctrine in the Wiki link I posted.

    this is a good summary:

so basically the romanian supreme court nullified the results of the first round of the presidential elections (results of parliamentary elections remain intact), new first round will be taken in january, georgescu could/will be charged (with treason?; i read conflicting news about it), and romania didn't fuck around, they declassified some intelligence material proving the russian intervention

    some stuff in english:
    https://www.politico.eu/article/rom...style-booster-campaign-declassified-docs-say/
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgq18w507dko
    https://www.ft.com/content/9c888f82-2e2d-44d4-ac1e-fcdbd830cec5
    https://www.politico.eu/article/eur...k-to-preserve-all-data-on-romanian-elections/

standing ovation for romania. not the dearest foreign state to my heart but after the first round they behaved in an exemplary fashion.

(side note: orbán created some office to defend hungarian sovereignty. this office, full of fidesz chinovniks, condemned the eu for stepping in too late and blamed them for not to defend the romanian elections. no word on russia lol. i hate these motherfuckers.)
