Could echo a lot of the points being made here.... the REF didn't have a very good game despite what the 'hopeless' UK Channel 5 team say.

We should have had 2 pens, both occassions the Man City player never made any contact with the ball and there was contact made with the player....Penalties

The time when Grygera got booked for lumping someone up in the air, it was a booking... but this had just came after Iaquinta had been fouled in the exact same manner and not even a free kick was given.

Channel 5 were complimenting the referee because of his no nonsense approach to people going down which is something I would welcome... BUT not in this game. The game was played in good spirit and there wasn't any play acting going on. The ref should be clamping down on this when it occurs not clamping down on every player who ends up on the ground. Adebayor stood on Marchisios knee and the clown is standing over him waving him up. The refs actions also led to the Man City fans wrongfully booing Krasic and Marchisio because the referee had basically labelled them as cheats.

In relation to the game I would say i'm happy with the result. I would have taken it beforehand, with the way the game went though I just wish we'd shown a bit more belief in the 2nd half and a bit more intelligence in midfield. Our opening 20 mins.... terrific. I just wish we'd kept going instead of being happy with 1 goal. We played well but I believe we can play even better, which is the encouraging thing. Still very anxious about our defence though. De Ceglie did alright but kept allowing Johnson to come in on his left likewise Grygera with Tevez. They should have been forcing these guys down the line. It was like they didn't know what there stronger foot was

Channel 5 and ITV are a bunch of assholes. I wouldnt have expected any better from them anyway. What really pisses me off is this anti italian stereotypical play acting, diving, complaining etc stigma they keep branding.

Not sure I agree with the Martinez bashing just yet. I'm not sure why we signed him for so much money but i'm prepared to give him a chance. He didn't have a great game today but he didn't really get the opportunity to get involved, he didn't really do too much wrong either. Pepe was quiet when he came on too.

Sissoko was probably our man of the match. Just wish he could play like that more regularly. Marchisio wasn't great but showed neat touches at times, needs to really dictate the play more.... grab hold of it. Felipe Melo was pretty lively when he came on too.

Really good, enjoyed it alot. Krasic is great, Del Pieros freekick was fantastic. Del Neri got everything right. We were unlucky not to win.

The result was fair we started well and scored and then they doninated the next 75 mins and we played well for the last 5 minutes where MOMO could have scored and DP thunder strike hit the bottom of the crossbar then bounced half on the line and half over it!

Momo played well but he got tiered in the 2nd half, I thought he was good but didnt boss anything.

A lot of hate for Marchisio - He was OK. Nothing special but definately not bad.

Martinez - Started OK but got tierd quickly!

Pepe, Melo and Motta provide a lot when they came on espically Melo who looks suited to English Football.

Krasic - Played for the 2nd but hey, he was hit and I think it was Boatang didn't get the ball. The first one when leading 1-0, 95% was a penalty BULLS%IT call!

City were well favoured by the refs.

Bonucci was very good tonight as was Chellini. Grygera was fantastic again!

DC - was a much better performance, in saying that Johnson cut in on his left foot whenever he wanted. Still not good enough!

Great result!

Oh and Iaq strike was amazing, but yes he is still selfish at times (Pepe says hello).

Yeah ITV are the worst. Haven't watched a game on channel 5 in a while but it was cringeworthy at times tonight. At least Graham Taylor hinted the 2nd Krasic claim was a penalty despite the commentator saying "let's just say the referee got it right" and forcing his point of view that it wasn't a penalty and that Juventus were going down easy. The bias is sickening really, that's the problem with English football, that arrogant English mentality the media and some supportters have lol.

Also LOL at Taylor going on later to call Man City, Man Utd :sergio:

I agree del neri did do everything in his power to get it right. Melo coming on added something extra as did motta. I just think we could have won this had we got bodies in the box more often.

Marchisio isn't bad but he does nothing. He didn't tackle, he didn't pass. I never notice him when he plays because he never does anything notable. I hate that people have this mentality that "oh well I didn't notice him so he's not bad". Not doing anything for the team is bad.
Hmm...?

Wish I could make it there, but nonetheless around 20th minute of the game it was nice to see the juve fans shouting out Juve. Its not very often you can get a moment of your own at english stadiums.

I think Momo did well against City cos he is used to playing against pacey midfielders and are always going for the ball, which would be called for a foul in serie A..so it was a wise decision to play him,but I dont know wat is wrong with Marchisio,he is the one who usually outshines his cm partner, now,we have people criticizing him,and are probably right..
Marchisio usually steps up in the big game, plays some fantastic balls, but now,all he does is try to mark a player with his hands out and then letting them go pass him..
We need him back, the Marchisio of last season, maybe the not so smooth contract negotiation is getting in his head..
