Cant believe how much the english commentators praised the ref... biased idiots. Im happy with the result but i think we should of won this. Marchisio was poor, IQ is far to selfish as times he made up for it with his hard work and goal. Sissoko played like the player i used to love in his first 2 seasons with us and Del Piero was really useful towards the end of the game. Chiellini was a monster and the rest of the defense were ok. Melo and Pepe done well and i wont criticise Martinez for ovious reasons.

Good result. I expected us to lose and they absolutely dominated the game after we scored so I'll take a point for sure. We were much better defensively than in previous games but I seriously think Del Neri needs to start thinking about benching Marchisio. He doesn't win balls and he doesn't influence attacks. Melo did more in 15 minutes than he did all game.

Manninger - 6
Didn't have that much to do. Made some decent saves from Johnson.

Grygera - 6
I thought he had another solid game. No major errors.

Bonucci - 6.5
Strong showing. Most of City's threat came from wide positions. Our centre backs did well.

Chiellini - 7
My man of the match. In the way of everything.

De Ceglie - 5.5
Not bad. Johnson gave him some problems and he should have been more alert on their goal but he worked hard.

Krasic - 5.5
Disappointing. Should have had a penalty (or two) but he didn't influence the game otherwise.

Sissoko - 6
Typically annoying. Won some balls brilliantly, gave away some needlessly.

Marchisio - 4.5
Did absolutely nothing. He's not a ball winner and he's not a playmaker. What is he?

Martinez - 5
I thought he started pretty well. Faded as the game went on.

Del Piero - 5.5
Not his best game but one thing I liked about his performance was his workrate. He won more balls than Marchisio.

Iaquinta - 6
Scored a great goal. That was about it.

Well I take heart that our defense finally looked like a unit.
It did, but have in mind that for biggest part of the match our defense was consisted of 8, sometimes 9 men. Less space for City and less space to cover for our guys. Less space for them to fuck up too.

The improvement in the defense will be seen on matches where we aren't big outsiders and we don't defend in numbers.
Hopefully it will happen soon.

Fuck Spanish refs (again), but decent result in a different sort of game than we are used to. It's easier to defend when you have that mindset, but we did pretty well, and offered little offensively second half.

First half we could have been 2-0 or 2-1 up if the ref had some cojones. Don't bother listening to the English commentators anyway, they are often full of shit. Graham Taylor FFS.

Its clear what he thought of Italian football, he was trying to send a message. And Krasic has a reputation for going down easily which would have played a role.
Yeah it pissed me off when our players were being tackled hard and he was just running over literally trying to pick them up 2 seconds later on the pitch.

Krasic should have had at least 1 peno though even the commentary could see that.

We just don't believe in ourselves and that is why we got only a point today. We had them on the ropes until we scored. If only we could have tried to keep the tempo they would have been frustrated & we certainly could have had many more opportunities.

I said before the game Id take a draw happily. Ill stand by that. I actually thought we done well in defence today, although our midfield and attack were quite useless 90% of the time.

But it was good to go to England and NOT LOSE. Its a step in the right direction.

Now lets see if we can get a win against Merda.

Even in such small spaces, PDC still found time to show his tactical ineptitude. Many times he was caught being last man back when the other 2 had already pushed forward together

Momo is the boss. I wonder how that makes some of the people on this forum think. He alongside marchi were solid. Man city really didnt know what to do. I saw a good Juve. I was expecting us to get a good kick in, but for once after a long time I dont need to put my head down here in england. Its a shame though, if only krasic had been given the penalty and del piero's freekick had gone in. Nevertheless I personally feel satisfied with it. We should build on this, especially the defence, though you do question man city looked stumped on what to do today.

Manninger - 6, was spectator for most the game and couldnt have done much about the goal
Grygera - 6.5, kept tevez pretty quiet, though he struggled somewhat when put on the left for once
Bonucci - 6.5 Solid, kept his ground looked good on the ball
Chiellini - 7 Good reading of the game and a few crucial tackles
De Ceglie - 6, This is IMO one of de ceglies better games, he came up when he had to, he did lose out on johnson on a few occasions but rarely made mistakes

Krasic - 6, Sad to say he wasnt the same today, some good runs and unlucky to miss out on the penalty, the yellow card didnt help as it restricted him from ever going down and he looked generally tired.

Sissoko - 7
The boss. I say no more, he did give some balls away but rarely did he leave that ball go away for long before winning it again.

Marchisio - 6.5
Kept solid, his movement was better than sissokos but his precense was a shadow to his mid partner

Martinez - 6
He worked hard, but was often pegged back and couldnt really do much skilfully. He should have tried being direct but he reminded me of pepe.

Del Piero - 6
Average, heavily marked but you can tell the old age is getting to him.

Iaquinta - 6.5 Hard worker, got the goal if only our forwards were more direct or had pace.

goal.com with some nice ratings  they thought Marchisio was better than Momo and gave Iaquinta a 8.0. And Chiellini MOTM with 7.0 ...

Dude, he just got back from injury. Give him some time. Besides he wasn't so bad.
