How clear-cut have been those chances though ? If we are including half-chances too, then it doesnt make a relevant argument.
atleast 2 chances against Copenhagen were missed from point-blank range. one from Chiellini, one from Pogba from top of my head and Tevez missed a one-on-one others I don't remember well... today Tevez missed 2-3 sitters.

Let's go over the chances:

Tevez - slightly more than a half chance, missed
Osvaldo - great chance, scored
Isla - very good chance, missed
Tevez - good chance, missed
Tevez - good-very good chance, missed
Osvaldo - good chance, missed
Pogba - decent chance, missed
Pogba - great chance, scored

Agree, disagree?

I'd expect at least one of those chances, probably two to have been a goal, and an early 2-0 makes the game much easier.

I would agree its part of the problem not the biggest problem.Cant blame strikers alone for not being clinical.Juve not being creative enough also contributes to the problems too, especially our final third ability.

Seriously how many times did we pass it to the wings and cross ?! That was so ManU-Esque lol

I'd pretty much agree with that. As far as this particular match went, we created enough chances in the first half. But people keep going over our CL stats and they're extremely misleading

Apologies.I wasnt talking about this game in particular but our whole European campaign so far.
I kind of guessed that is what you meant, but for today I think it highlighted a problem we have. It was just magnified more in the CL as we had less chances, Copenhagen and Real Madrid at home excepted.

That was a huge chance.

Spot on. We're talking about an international playoff game here, which is always more intense than your run-of-the-mill league game. You have to be more clinical than that when risking an away goal.

Missed the match, a short summary of what happened?

From the HLs Kenji (JJ) posted looked like we could have beaten them 6-0 if we didnt miss those easy chances.

Also was a goal disallowed? Why?

We played awful, we couldn't keep the ball, we couldn't make a pass, but we managed to grind out a 2-0 result.

They had a goal correctly disallowed. The ball went out of bounds before the pass into the box was made.

Ball went out of play before the Trabzonspor player crossed it, but only just. Wasn't 100% clear, but you could see most of the ball past the byline.

In the first half we (particularly Tevez) missed a tonne of chances. Then we got lucky as a deflection fell kindly to Osvaldo who was left with a 1 on 1 with the GK. He took it nicely

We seemed to be absorbing pressure and hitting on the break for some strange reason. In the 2nd half we fell apart, Peluso and Ogbonna were trying their absolute best to destroy us. However we managed to ride the storm (Due to luck mostly) and we eventually changed to 4-3-3 with Giovinco on the left, Llorente coming on in the middle and Tevez to the right. Tevez done some great work and Pogba finally burried a chance at the end.

Their disallowed goal was correctly ruled off, but it was a mightily close call. The ball just about went out of play before the TS player cut it back to set up the 'goal'

Overall we looked timid, error prone and clueless. But we done enough thankfully.

The coach can't remove pressure because it's always there as a favourite, but he has a part in helping us playing a normal game.

Maybe his character goes against the team in this respect, with him being so fiery. I suppose we can't have it both ways, and the players are responsible for being professional.
I have seen many managers take pressure off the team, usually their teams win big trophies.

Cheers guys.

Im still amazed at how we were able to keep a clean sheet with that back three. TS must have been the worse opponent ever.

I'll gladly take the 2-0 since i missed the match and the frustration all around the forum :D
