The worst in all this is... the disappointment.
We had almost all it takes to advance, pretty good result from away game, we played one of the best football lately in the first half, in the second half when it was going badly Benfica received a red card. In this moment we had no excuses.
It's not the elimination that hurts so bad, it's the consciousness that we could have won an european cup. An european cup in the competition that we play once in 10years. This would have been a record win as well. The other aspect of this is the final on our stadium. How many teams had the chance to play the final on the pitch they play week in, week out? And our legends, Buffon, Pirlo.. Imo it was their last chance to win sth in europe.
This team should easily advance from CL group stage (not counting such scenarios as snowstorms in the most important game) and be at least on 1-3 position in Serie A for years. This means we won't be in EL anytime soon, and looking how far behind the best CL teams we are we can wait for another semifinal of an european cup 10 more years.

When I think about juve i remember Ferrara, Torricelli, Di Livio, Conte, Del Piero, Vieri, Deschamps, Tacchinardi, etc. Your team now as a lot of known players with a "name".. but you play bad against teams well organized and that press high, maybe you need to change your tactics.
