I generally think it was a dogshit tournament though. Anyone disagree?
It had it’s good moments tbh, the general atmosphere created by the fans was top notch at almost every game, however it’s the football itself by most of the so called ‘big teams’ that did leave a lot to be desired, otherwise i wouldn’t necessarily label it as dogshit per se as most of this tournaments tend to be tight and tense games, but probably it could have easily gone down as one of the most dogshit and annoying ones ever if it ended up with England winning it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not every match was great, but many were, the highlight being Turkey vs Austria. England, France, Portugal, and to a lesser extent the Netherlands played like shit, but you'll always have some sides like that. I think the worst I've ever seen had to be the 2010 World Cup.

The 2010 World Cup was the worst.

But too many teams played awful football this tournament: Italy, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, England, Portugal. All of them played a negative brand of football and they weren't even good at it. It's a shame Germany and Spain already met in the quarters though, because I did like Germany.

who's shocked

he acts like a prick indeed

I said earlier in the tournament that despite the goals he wasn't very impressive, and this continued as the tournament went on. There are mitigating reasons for this but also when you have the big reputation and put yourself about like a top player then there is that pressure to perform like a big player. It's obvious from watching him on the ball that he is a very high level player but there is always pressure to deliver.

I do think he's also a massive cock. Other than the posturing and trying to rile everyone up he is another who is very good at trying to get other players in trouble from fouls. He's learning the Spanish and Real Madrid way very fast. And in this case if he'd made contact with that absurd flying lunge he would have been sent off.

Nah, first round of group stage was good. 2nd and 3rd rounds were dogshit and boring.

Playoffs was a total snooze fest except games involving Spain or Germany, Turkey vs Holland was exciting.

But generally besides that the quality and entertainment level was low in this tournament.

I read this article early on in the tournament and agree with a lot of it, so had tempered my expectations a little bit, but I was still disappointed:

The 0 goals/0 assists heroes, who were considered potential stars of this EURO:

- Foden in 626 minutes
- Griezmann in 394 minutes
- Dembele in 365 minutes
- Leao in 291 minutes
- M. Thuram in 262 minutes
- Vlahovic in 177 minutes

You can't start a fire without a spark, Phil Foden's on fire...

I expected more than one Pep coached. His players are notoriously worse at NT duty outside his system than they are while at City. KDB and Bernardo allways nowhere what they do at City etc.

I can't imagine what a huge difference it must be to be coached by Southgate vs Pep system wise.

Someone who this never effects is Rodri. He us the same regardless. His role is similar under Pep and Spain NT system wise.

But generally its a running joke with me and my brothers to not touch Pep players in NT tournaments for fantasy leagues etc.

I think he's misunderstood and used as a scapegoat, his experience abroad has shaped him to see and behave differently. That's a huge advantage because he's learning how to be a winner, unlike his loser teammates.

In this case it will only get worse, the New CL format adds additional games and then there's the club world cup.

Varane, Kounde, VVD and other player reps that spoke against UEFA and FIFA adding just more and more games (from nations league, conference league, to CL format) warned about this. Not just for player health in terms of injuries. But as that article explains well, it heavily effects the quality of the performances more and more.

football is so diluted these days, pointless competitions, too many competitions, shoving football down the throats of its consumers and its shit stuff.

apparently he wasn't that well liked at Dortmund either, not sure if its arrogance or what. 1 bad season at madrid and it'll turn sour for him.

Meanwhile Talksport spent the morning talking about how much england lacked a 'Rodri' type player I mean this just makes me laugh, When england were humiliated by Pirlo and england they said the same thing then "We need a Pirlo..." "Wiltshere can be our Pirlo"

Truth is there's enough quality in that england squad, just thankfully whilst the players have improved immensely from the england players of the past 10/20/30 years, their managers are still shit and prehistoric.

his antics towards Kostic in the Serbia match showed what he’s really like. I hope someone break his legs one day.

And now we have this disgrace of a Club World Cup to add to the list next year. Pathetic. These money-hungry cunts are looking for more games to line their pockets. It’s a disgrace.
