Literally had easy runs/group games in each of those tournaments.

They were losing to the likes of Iceland in the Euros and struggling to make it out of the WC group stages before he arrived so I would say he deserves some sort of credit.

Ingurland are a minnow in International football so making back to back Euro finals is pretty historic for them.
