Sorry but intention doesn't matter in this case.
A defender should defend with his hands behind his back.
Arm is in natural position for a defender.
If you apply this logic then no defender should ever defend with his hands behind there back.

I definitely think Germany had the better clear cut chances, not to say Spain didn’t have any, but the Germans certainly more.

Germany got completely outplayed by Spain for 2/3rds of the game.

The better team went through today and deservedly so.

Spain have a younger(fitter) core group of players. They have two of the best wide players in the tournament and by far the best midfield unit in the competition.

Maybe we all seen different angles or replays? The one i’ve seen the hand was halfway in the air even if in a retracting motion, which still doesn’t excuse it because defenders keep their hands tucked in when blocking a shot, which was not the case here as he only attempted to do it while his hand was already struck extending his body length and stopping the shot that was going in the direction of the goal.

Disagreed, I think it was a completely even match, Spain slightly better for the first 50 mins or so. Germany certainly took over after Fullkrug came on, also felt they were better during extra time. But Spain were more clinical.
