This.

They have some seriously good players and its naive to look away from the mental push this come from behind win will given them. I could be wrong, but I don’t recall England coming from behind and winning a game like this in recent tournaments. They are usually on the receiving end of this stuff.

They'll win something eventually. Usually, they overrate their team but this time they do have a great team on paper. The team back in 2006 was up against other great teams, but this time, they probably do have the best team on paper.

They not going anywhere with this manager. Nothing wrong with the players. Wonderful players.

He has 3 wingers that scored over 20 goals each past season. A midfielder that scored over 20. A striker that scored 45.

And they had 2 shots on target all game vs mighty Slovakia due to HIS tactics.

And now he subbed out the two scorers for defensive players to guard the result. It screams for late Slovakia draw and pk shootout choke...

Reminds me of Tuchel Bayern subbing out Kane, Musiala and every attacking players vs real madrid CL semis when they were up 1-0 only for real to ofcourse punish them for this foolishness.

They have several brilliant players, but you can't overcome a manager this poor. He simply won't field his best players.

He made Pickford his regista for this game ffs.

Sure Southgate’s tactics this tournament so far have been atrocious. Having said that, he has taken England closer to major trophies than anyone in ages. It’s entirely possible that he will get it right or get lucky his way again

Hopefully I’m wrong since England winning a trophy would be puke worthy

That's because England have their best squad(s) for many years, since 2002. It's not because Southgate is a great coach. His style of coaching is hands off, which is fine, but you can argue he should have won something by now. I'd also be amazed if he has a job if England don't win the tournament, even if they make the final.

Kudos for small Slovakia for fighting for entire 120 minutes. Harsh result for them since they were better for 89 minutes. Until the calibre of players was the decider.

France under Domenech (or whatever he's called) proved you can do well under a bad manager.

He already confirmed before the tournament that he will resign if they don't win.

The pundits and commentators have jizzed and are now rambling about how England can go all the way. Incredible that 120 of dog shit is forgotten so quickly.
