Thoughts on this multi bet ($AUD)?

Group A: Germany to win (1.40)
Group B: Italy to qualify (1.22)
Group C: England to win (1.40)
Group D: France to win (1.57)
Group E: Ukraine to qualify (1.44)
Group F: Portugal to win (1.33)

6 legs @ 7.72

I don't think it's worth taking a punt on Switzerland/Hungary/Scotland to qualify when all of them could easily finish last. Germany at home should comfortably win this group.

I don't have high hopes for Italy at all this tournament. But I feel it's safer to back Italy going through (even as a 3rd place team) than it is picking Spain or Croatia (or even Italy, who knows) to win the group.

England are overrated AF in my opinion but this is a very weak group C. I can see England beating up the smaller teams and then shitting the bed later.

France should comfortably win their group. The Dutch under Ronald McDonald are fucked especially with their injuries.

I don't like Belgium. Ukraine look good to qualify, again even as one of the 3rd place teams.

I don't see anyone challenging Portugal in Group F.

Please feel free to rip this multi to shreds lads.

Italy to qualify does seems pretty low for the risk considering their group mate

Have you seen both sides play last week? The Netherlands are scoring like crazy and France are seemingly disintegrating before the tournament even starts. I still think the Dutch are not a great side, but the French bicker among themselves every other tournament and it's probably happening again now.

I think the French have too much talent even with their problems.

I agree with pretty much all of it. I see France as the most likely, followed by Germany with a lot of luck as the home side and possibly a Spain dark horse.

England might make the final but will find a way to blow it. They'll cruise through the group stage as you said and shit the bed. Portugal will do the same, especially with the limited Martinez as coach despite all their talent.

Martinez is a serious problem for Portugal.

But the talent is there and they probably have a more competitive edge than Belgium. That's what winning a previous tournament does for you. I can see Portugal go far despite Martinez and I expect Ronaldo to do well, if only to spite everyone who makes fun of him for playing in Saudi Arabia.

What do we expect from Serbia? Can they become first or second instead of England/Denmark?
Nah they never show up. Remember all the times we expected SMS to do it on the big stage and he disappeared? That's Serbia I'm a nutshell

Bcuz they're sh*t
Actually I recon croatia will do better than Italy, they're a team that have been together a long time. Where as I look at the Italy squad and I just seen a random mish mash of players who can't even play as a team

What are the odds on Italy not to qualify from the group? I'd put money on that if anything.

Still don't get it. He started really cool in Wigan. Became a bit inconsistent with Everton. Completely blew it with Belgium. Barely(!) squeezed past Portugal and then lost to Italy in the Euros 2021. Got another chance. Blew it. And just ruined the golden generation. Scored ONE goal in WC2022 with Belgium. To then take on Portugal. How? Why? Why is anybody interested in him?
