England are going into the tournament with crap performances and key players not in good physical shape (as usual). But the decisive factor for them could well be the pragmatism of Southgate. I have a feeling he is going to set them up far more reserved than they should be, which never suits any England team, and a lot will fall on the shoulders of players like Foden and Mount to create from nothing.

I just don't see how Southgate has at all built on the World Cup performance. And tbh that was nothing special, they didn't beat anyone good and made it all the way to the semi-final to lose to Croatia. I thought the placing flattered England. I'm not expecting a lot from them, but at the same time the group is not difficult, and if some of those key attacking players fire they could find momentum and confidence.

But the thing is, I don't think that's true.

If you look at the 3 man midfield Italy fielded 2 days ago, each & every one of those players is better than what we have at Juve. I was never a big fan of Jorginho, for example, but he would basically walk straight into our lineup. Without breaking a sweat. Spinazzola would be an obvious asset as well. If you were to add players who would be useful squad players, you could probably mention an additional 4 or 5 players.

Saying Italian players aren't good enough for Juve would be appropriate if we actually had better players to begin with. But we don't, imo.

Its not necessarily true right now, we been a joke last 2-3 years in squad quality, and the younger generation is improving rapidly. But its generally been true over the past 5-6 years with our stronger squads, and Italy offering up less and less of top level players, which is why Juve gone full international like we are Inter or something.

But yeah also there is a clear difference between being starter quality and being squad player for Juvdntus. Most of Azzurri are easily squad player worthy.

Foden is blond now, he wish he was swedish. The embassy is expediting his new passport as we speak so he can suit up tommorrow night vs Spain.

P.S Bernadeschi tried to seek asylum in swedish embassy after his Eminem hairdo, but the swedish immigration police shaved off the atrocity and deported him to the only country that will accept him, San Marino.

This euro's has been so crap so far. Along with unfortunate incidents like yesterday, really don't feel that excitement to follow games.

I'd rather just stick to highlights.

This is what the World Cup will look like once they introduce the 48 team format. Just crap all around.

16 teams was the shit. You had groups with 2-3 top nations and then the 2nd tier nations were also quite good. Then you go straight to QF with only the best teams passing such "death" groups. I enjoyed it more than the WC because of more top games in a shorter timespan. Nowadays it's just meh.

Distance that teams have to travel in the group stage. Fair play UEFA :baus:

As if that would be any better if the Euro were in it's usual single (or dual) country host format?? Sure, they could shack up on facilities in a single country for the whole tournament. But it's not home. And these travel distances actually look better than what you usually see for the Champions League.

Austria Macedonia and Netherlands Ukraine is meh, don't think I'll tune in for those
I will, because I am a glutton and I ain't doing crap all this weekend.

That and I like to keep trolling all the idiots calling this "Euro 2021".

 Yeah it's a retarded name. Basically means 'hair' in Polish as well. :lol3:
It evolved from this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walhaz
Hair? Wow. So Pirlo influenced what the Polish named the country.

Awesome.

The only good country naming story I have is that they call the bird/food turkey "Peru" here, but yet they call Peru Peru and Turkey Turquia.

But the story behind why they call turkey "perú" is a good one... and is geographically more accurate than the countries who call it "turkey".
