Group A winner draws group C runner up

So assuming Italy win Group A likely opponent of Ukraine or Austria. Group C runners up (assuming Belgium win) hard to pick between weakened Denmark, Findland or Russia

Assuming Italy draw Ukraine or Austria (and beat them) likely quarterfinal opponent is then Belgium.

If they draw and beat the Group C runner up then they likely face netherlands in 1/4s

We've started very well, Mancini has created an extremely solid group even if there aren't any world beaters. It's really exciting to watch and I'm hoping we continue and this really sets us up for future tournaments where hopefully some world class players emerge.

Italy-Belgium would be a very spectacular game.

Italy is much more of a group, Belgium has the more famous individual players. That being said I think Spinazzola and Di Lorenzo would be surprised by the workrate of Meunier and Carrasco.

I think Italy would suffer, but ultimately go through. They simply look incredibly solid.

Why are anglos such filth?

I think it's the Italian stigma, they see Italian as divers, cheaters, whiners, constantly defending. Often you get to hear that from them on TV. I think the Italian national team as a whole still get a little more respect than an Italian club here, depends on TV channels as well. I've often found BBC pundits generally show more respect while ITV and Sky are just full of hate. The italy national team can stand behind their laurels and England have fuckall but a WC that goes donkey years back, which is why they only go so far, I think if premier League was full of Italians they'd probably also have more respect. Whereas the arrogance in CL matches or in general talking about the Italian farmer's at club level is different.

The Icelandic pundits (this guy included, see below) were very positive. Both of them predicted that Italy will go all the way. The country is full of premheads but everybody has been super positive towards the Azzurri.

It's impossible not to like this Italy team.

It's also one of the few teams in which you can really see the work of the coaching staff. Regardless of what happens the rest of the tournament, Mancini has transformed this team.

It's very possible since it contains Insigne, Berardi, Immobile, Donnarumma all more or less vocal anti JJ shitheads. And a bunch of other players I have never heard about so their shitheadery needs to be investigated before liking or disliking

but they are playing well and deserve the praise
