some could argue that NT football is exactly where a player's true greatness and talent is tested, precisely because there isn't much tactics and automated moves to fall back on, thus true creativity, grit, and simply sheer talent has to come through.
Yes, but since you can play football whether you're 165cm or 195cm, there's different qualities to play football. You can be very limited as a footballer, but to have certain qualities that fit to certain way of playing, just like Giroud for example. He would have never made the amount of goals he's scored for France with Spain middle of their dominance. Just like in Tennis, being 195cm on clay will never be optimal and 165cm being on grass won't be either.

It's a team game after all and you can be helped by the others, so the best as you can fit into the intentions of the team, the better you will do. You can still be valuable asset even as a striker, even if they don't find you from the scoresheet and so on.

Morty isn’t bad but he’s a second fiddle striker.
He'd be a lead striker at 90% of the clubs in most top European leagues.

Bielsa will mold you into what he needs, for example. You can't easily do that for the NT.

I really hope Italy will win it. Spain have been downright annoying in that their team is so incredibly hard on the eyes.

But somehow I think Spain will stumble through.
I'm worried Spain sucks and yet they were so luck until now.

I'll be so pissed if they go through. But I think England is going to win the whole thing (sadly). Although, if I had to pick, I'd rather have England win it than Spain. Of course, Italy winning it is by far the best scenario imo.

England has by far been the most boring team to watch. I fell asleep against Ukraine. Southgate is doing well but holy moly I've never been so bored. Really hope the Danes can pull through.

Considering that's the norm, it's incredible what Mancini has been able to drill down to this Azzurri side. I remember being annoyed when he was calling up a bunch of players for friendlies, but that's all paying dividends now.

If it's not Italy, I'd rather Morata got a medal.
