lol what do you mean? England 100% is the most popular team
@DAiDEViL EPL is the most popular League in Europe/The World by miles. The popularity those native English players enjoy are much bigger than Italys players on a global scale. On top of that total regions of Europe (Especially Scandinavia) is completely Premier League biased. Their media machine is massive also. In Norway for example the population are literally rooting for England more than their own neighbours. At least thats what i seen in the media there(EPL influence). If you look globally, surely England has more support than Italy?

The only way England win is if the winner of Italy/Spain have loads of injuries and suspensions. England are forever playing second tier teams so the moment they reach a genuine contender, they come crashing down. The EPL style doesn't work in a tournament like this, you need technical ability. Denmark will probably take them to penalties and lose so the hype train goes into overload, penalties being the main hurdle preventing England from winning WC and Euro. I literally cannot watch TV until the Euros finish, its that bad over here.

As much as I love Morata, you could make the argument Immobile is the more proven striker.

At provincial Italian clubs, for sure… but Immobile failed miserably at both clubs outside Italy. And has 6 less goals in 5 more appearances (3500 minutes to 2800 minutes) for the national team. He suits a mid-table side perfectly. A big team, not so much. There are lots of strikers that are better than Morty, Ciro ain’t one of them.

You could just as easily say Morata has only been a luxury sub for top clubs, scoring the third or fourth goal in games that had already become meaningless long before he ever got on the pitch.

He was never a “luxury sub” here and has scored or assisted every ~90 minutes in his three years at Juve. Numerous clutch goals, especially in his first stint.

What a dork.

Exactly.

I'm one of his biggest fans.

But saying Immobile is a nobody who only performs at provincial clubs is the exact same shortsightedness. The man has several +30 goals seasons and this in arguably the most defensive league of all.

I get it. Morty is pretty and you like him.

But let's be fair.

Morty isn’t bad but he’s a second fiddle striker.

Honestly one of the stupidest dives ever. Plenty of dives happen but guy has no sense to at least stay on the ground awhile. Love Italia but pure shameful!!! I like Belotti but don't see where he is any better. Mancini might as well go with what has worked and hoping if Ciro only gets one good shot, he needs to connect.:xfingers:

NT football is more like getting together on a camp, having little time for actual tactics and then going on from there. There's no time for understanding the exact ways, either from the coaches perspective and even less, the players perspective. Some of the players just take more time to adapt, some of the players are more versatile. It depends on the player, but saying Lewandowski or Zlatan failing at international level is just BS. Atleast they never had the competion and they always made the NT, where other bigger nations had the competion to bring different strikers.

some could argue that NT football is exactly where a player's true greatness and talent is tested, precisely because there isn't much tactics and automated moves to fall back on, thus true creativity, grit, and simply sheer talent has to come through.
