    why go to greece.
after winning the world cup back in 82,italy failed to qualify for the euro 84. they finished 4th in their group winning 1 game 3 draws and 4 losses.let's hope that history won't repeat itself.

ok what r u talking about, u trying to say it is the players fult that they didnt win...
how can one team win the WC and month after that not win against Lithuania at home, which didnt make it to WC.
Well, the players are the one on the field, so it makes sense that they share most of the blame, no?

What, the coach gets all the blame because his team can't hit the back of the net?

im not trying to slate Lithuania, just pointing out that Italy werent THAT bad. Throughout 90 mintues, Italy were the better side. Lithuania's chances werent of the same quality as Italy's, which is what Donadoni has stated.

No doubt Italy will have to improve, but i feel alot of ppl r jumping the gun.

Yes, THE PLAYERS, not the coach. This exactly what Cannavaro himself was worried about. To pin it on the coach is just the usual cop out we use in sport.

am i mistaken to say its also the manager's responsibility to inject confidence into the players?

and to gel the team as 1, something im not seeing under donadoni

Didnt Italy start off bad in our qualification for the WC? Then we topped the group. There's plenty of time still!

Let it B! Let it B! Fuck that songs in my head still!

why r u keep saying italy were better side, if the result is 1-1, again so franch should think they are the WC winners cuz they had more chanecs to score during the game aginst italy?

well of course they were the better side, you dont win the world cup if your shit. but did you expect from us? any team will sit back when they have a possitive result against the champions of the world on their own pitch.

but it was us who were better in the first 25, maybe 30 mins, it was us who took a deserved lead and we were sort of unlucky to concede that goal, because up to that specefic moment we were better imo.

He's been there for TWO games, only one real game. Holy hell people.

Let me ask - when Lippi started his Italy coaching campaign, they lost to Iceland 2-0 and then two months later lost to Slovenia. Did everyone want Lippi fired then?

lol, yea it is just one game, but what i m saying is that it is a shame that WC winners can't beat Lithuania at home, now everybody that is not italian fan can say france was better, b/c we didnt beat them druing the game.

I totally agree. The first 25 mintues Lithuania were the better side.

I disagree about Lithuania being unlucky to concede that goal though. Nice Cassano play, and Inzaghi was left wide open.

Not at all. I have never once said im content getting a tie against a team Italy should have demolished. Im just stating what i feel is the obvious ie: Italy didn't play terrible, and all this Donadoin being shit talk is pre-mature. As some1 stated, Lippi's early reign was the same.
