second goring reference this month, fascination or are you just reminiscing the good ol days when the luftwaffe provided impecable service
Here's your classic Juventuz transfer thread answer:

All we ever hear is "Hilter, Hitler, Hitler". Hitler was overrated. Goering deserves a little vituperous bile now and then. :pado:

So! It's all forgotten now, and let's hear no more about it. So, that's two egg mayonnaise, a prawn Goebbels, a Hermann Goering, and four Colditz salads.

This was the 2nd time I was in Toronto for the EC finals and I'm so glad I was in was. The day I got there Russian flags were scattered everywhere (obviously they lost) and then German and Spanish flags had invaded all of Toronto.

On Sunday Young & Dundas was off the hook with Spanish fans celebrating.

So from now on if I can't make it to the actual country of the Euro's, I'll just drive up to Toronto :D

IMO, the brackets were very favorable to them. They only impressed against Poland and a Portuguese side who was a physical mismatch and whom Germany always seems to have an answer to, Rochambeau-style.

I don't know about overrated. But the guy does get way too much Nike commercial time for what he contributes on the pitch in big matches, IMO.

I do not see Ballack as ever being the player who elevates a team to a title or cup victory. Good and influential, but never good enough for first prize.

Which it would take a pretty sad sack of Germany, such as the Euro 2000 squad, to flub against Portugal in any given year.
I agree with you on many points, but i give him a lot of credit for his time at Leverkusan and the WC 2002. He carried both teams on his back but he couldn't deliver in the final and its not entirely his fault. He lost on due to a wonder strike and the other he was suspended. We see a lot of these kinds of occurrences in the current time as opposed to the past where a maradona, zidane would dominate a whole tournament. Kaka carried his team through the CL and vanished in the final, same goes for Ronaldo this year.

The 2000 squad had better individuals than this squad tbh. They were just a horrible, old team with no faith whatsoever in a horrible Eric Ribbek.
