Pepe and Boswinga are solid. It's Ferreira, who was booted by Scolari after game 1 in Euro 2004 never to return for his antics, that's the big problem. And he's now even being asked to play on his left instead of his usual right.

Boswinga is solid defensively and contributes a lot on the wing. I wish we could have signed him.

And Pepe used to be the lone centerback for Porto's 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formations. He played central defense for two men. And after his injury recovery at Real, he actually made the Real defense respectable to help earn them the title.

Veloso has a long way to go to sub out Petit, though.
