I chipped in to the cause. Thanks for the tip.

I think it's my first post there in over a year. :)
Great post. But now you'll have the Englanders there all angry, denying the media bias. :howler:

u can not deny that toni's goal was onside and that the pk was a nonexistant...atleast that is what u would say if it was against juve...

personally i don't want italy to get through... also i'm a azurri fan but they don't deserve it
Of course they were. And of course they don't deserve it.

If I read you guys right, you're being sarcastic. I saw people on other boards complaining about how "lucky" Italy is. So I've had to slap them across the face and ask them how they interpret the offsides rule.

Romania to at least draw against a rested Holland squad. The World Cup finalists both out tomorrow.
Well, apart from the last World Cup, Italy hasn't been anything that special in the tournaments they've played in since 2000. I'm talking performance-wise here.

2002 was the most fixed tournament in history....

Somebody is getting an impacted colon from all that. :shifty:

Reminds me of all the older Chinese women who try to get on the 26 Valencia bus here in the Mission. It's like a frigging general admission Who concert every time.

That's OK. Americans own their league now anyway. ;)

Agreed. They did get lucky against Australia, certainly. But that ain't happening tomorrow. I expect to witness two goliaths battle it out in a snorefest, only to find out that it was all for nothing.

so setting precedence is tantamount to ridicule? if it's any consolation, for the likes of italy anything but winning the whole thing is "ridiculous"
France going out of WC2002 without a single goal to their name takes the cake though

And that after Marcel Desailly told the public on the eve of the tournament that his friends and family couldn't come to see him from the beginning, but would be there for after the group stage :howler:

Fixed for the Koreans, but Italy were not that good dude.

Which one was more fixed? 2002 or 2004 with the Scandanavians?
2004 wasn't fixed at all... if italy hadn't played so poorly they could have easly gone through

but look at the mexico and croatia game not only south korea

Should be pretty entertaining, either on television or here on the forums. ;)

I remember that match, but don't recall how it was "fixed." Why was it "fixed?"

we might have just figured out the origins of yoga

:lol2:

italy scored i think 2 clear goals against mexico and one against croatia (or the other way around i don't remeber) and all were called "offside"
italy scored a goal against south korea (also offside) totti was sent off for "diving" and so on
