Clearly ur being sarcastic.
You think?

Clichy has an age advantage. He's already a starter for Arsenal which implies that he has the potential. Will he develop as some expect him to, i don't know. So far i know that he was average, then had a solid season and now he's back to being average again.
As far as i know he may never repeat the last season and slowly but surely lose his place inthe team and become history.

Since i also don't rate Grosso too high, if i have to chose one of them to play for Juve, and having the age difference in mind, i won't know which one to choose.
But if we talk about pure quality and if i have to pick one of them only for CL and important matches, then picking Grosso is a no brainer.

And when was that exactly? because i dont remember him ever being average before this season. Ever since he got his chance when Cashley left he's been steadily developing.

2006–07 and before that.
Please don't tell me that he was anything special back then.

So far he had one solid year, one (1). Everything before that and after that was nothing of any importance.
Even the stats say the same story:

2003–04 22 0 0
2004–05 24 0 0
2005–06 11 0 0
2006–07 40 0 1
2007–08 49 0 6
2008–09 14 1 0

Matches/goals/assists

Defensively we can again say the same, with the difference being that this year he had some very weak defensive performances which weren't characteristic for last season.

Again you prove that you don't watch Arsenal.

2005-06 season he was injured all season. If you remember we had an injury crisis that season, flamini was playing left back that season. 2004-05 and 2003-04 Cole was one of the top fullbacks in Europe and Clichy was 18 years old, of course he wasn't going to play a lot of games. the 2006-07 season he was one of the top fullbacks in the EPL and last season he was definitely one of the best in Europe.

Why do you find it so hard to understand?

I don't care about the reasons. I only know that he was no-one and nothing before 2007 and after that one single season (no, he wasn't even close to anything special in 2006-07) he's again average.
To sumirize...we're talking about a guy who had one single good season (not great season). He's young and he may improve, but so far it's only one single season.

You say that Grosso is hyped due to one good WC or EC but you're doing the same. Overrating a player because of one good season.

If we could handle Maicon we can certainly handle Bosingwa.
Plus Bosingwa is a not as good of a defender as Maicon at all and leaves tons of space.

Though it matters little when Nedved is so hapless offensively, and Molinaro is Molinaro (offensively, defensive he looks decent).

Its funny how its conveniently not mention how Grosso has been NOTHING but average in his club career, mainly known for set pieces in Palermo, Perugia, flopped in Inter for sure, and for Lyon has been a defensive liability. I like him offensively, with his runs, but he hasnt been more then average for Lyon in that regard too. In what has he shown he is in Clichy's level?

I mean, really, Clichy has been voted the best LB in EPL. Grosso never even come close to anything of that accord in his club career. Because, regardless of how well you play in a couple of WC games, no way does it hold so much weight for how good you are in overall when its only 7 games in his decade long career.

It doesn't help at all that Maicon is a better defender and better attacker than Bosingwa?
i disagree as far as defense they both leave heaps of space because of the nature of their game; on offense while maicon is more explosive bosingwa is smarter more finesse to his game like i said depends what you re looking for in your rightback.

WTF is a Clichy level ?

Oh, and did Grosso find himself in the world cup squad just like that? Didn't he have a great 2005/06 season? Didn't he make his transfer to Inter before the WC began exactly because he was playing great?
I don't know if there was something called team of the season 2005/06 in serie A but if there was such a thing then Grosso was certainly there. (this is a reply to the part bolded in red)
