I rather face Chelsea than Arsenal or Man U, tbh. Arsenal would run circles around Molinaro and Grygera and especially the away games against these two teams would be extremely sweaty and nervwrecking experiences. Chelsea on the other hand are a machine like side just like us, and I do believe our current squad have a mentality that demands something extraordinary from the opponent in order to beat us. With Buffon, Camo, Trez back and our other key players remaining fit I see us giving them a hard test and with a little luck we might go through. Having said all this we are of course the underdog, not a massive one though.
Thats really a good point!Arsenal and Manure's speed would be too much for our...limited... defense.
The quality and powerful forward line that Chelsea posses is not easy task either, but if we keep it together, as a team we might stop them with our double defensive line, tactically and not individually!

And also believe that CR would do better against EPL teams,(than Capello) Hopefully we will not depend our tactics on the useless/hopeless long balls against them,
that would give up any tactical advantage, because this is their preferred type of play and they master it!

May God enlighten CR to find the right answer!!

C'mon gentlemen, commenting on every single Cron's post makes without arguing or ignoring the point he's trying to make isn't that healthy.

Cron is a great poster although I don't agree with him when it comes to Ranieri, same thing many folks where defending Capello when I was asking for his head.

Good thing though, is that we have Ranieri now in CL and not Capello.

Indeed, but Chelsea are far more a consistent team than Arsenal or even Man u, altough they have been through a bad patch recently I expect them to be in top form for when the tie rolls around. Camo is going to be absolutley key in these matches as lm is where chelsea often struggle and with J.C out we may have a chance to expliot them, lets hope he stays off the treatment table.

I can't see C.R tactially masterminding a win, if anything it will be a D.P goal from a freekick. BTW is ricky carvalho gonna be out for these games? because if he is D.P and Amauri could just about outbattle J.T and Alex.

They are playing home dude so they're doomed to make the play first. Am I wrong ?
Obviously man, point is we have to take the intiative & attack when the chance arrives. If the boys are not vigilant they will be caught as they have just as much strength as our squad & more speed.

Thats fine...they'll only know of Del, Buffon, Trezegol...they dont know about our Amauri's, Giovinco's & Molinaro's!! :eyebrows:
They are a professional team & they will have everyone checked.

@Cronios Chelsea have just about the same amount of speed as Man Utd & Arsenal so there's no real differentiating in that aspect.

Someone said early in this topic that lampard is missing the first match becuz of suspension ?

Is that true ?
Hmmm, i think not.
Lampard got a red card in the 5th round match against Bordaux, but it wasn't a direct red. In such situations players are suspended for one match and he served the ban in the 6th round.

But Deco and Terry have 2 yellow cards and they'll be suspended if they get the third yellow.
Lets provoke them and make them get a yellow in London so they'll miss the return leg in Torino :D

Deco is quite easy to provoke too, and terry is just a thug, he even admitted that if he wasn't going to be a footballer he would end up as a thug, I reckon terry will get away with some harsh challenges at the bridge and escape any bookings

What's our status with these cards?

I know Amauri was booked for taking his shirt off against Real, but when was this other booking?

Camoranesi could be a problem when we go through. Others are replaceble.
