Europa League is beneath me :D Is he having a good game assisting Di Santo vs random nobodies?
I'm not really watching it, just bits and pieces but he seems to have the talent. :D

That's what happens when you reconstruct and reshape all aspects in the way Football is played in your country. Forget Spain, Germany will have hot prospects for many years to come. Who knows how many good generations are still on the way. Italy should follow by example.

Germans only copy what's is en vogue at a given time. They improve it ofc but the basics are all stolen. There is no general philosophy like joga bonita, or catenaccio or total voetball. There is no 'German football' It's the football that has been successful for a few years already by another country, remastered

They knew they needed a huge change to occur after 2002 WC and they went for it big time with flying colours. Huge props for taking the needed step, even if its not original and unique identity of there's, and more adopting more Spanish type of offensive/technical attitude.

How do you even concede against 9 men? Lucky corner and then pathetic defending?

It's more to do with adapting and modernizing the way they practiced the sport. In that you guys did with excellency. From what I read the whole country had a revamp opening hundreds of new Football schools, forming new coaches and so on. It was nevertheless impressive and it worked.
