Once again Juventus has been extremely unlucky after the draw,
once again we are pitted against the strongest candidate for the title.
I believe the one who will win this round will be the final victor... so this is an early final!
It is extremely unfortunate for us, because we dont get the opportunity to play the final of a European title, home every year...

Just look at it this way. Imagine if we drew Benfica in a CL knockout stage. We would be most likely be thrilled out of our minds, seeing as the other opponents would be clubs like Real, Chelsea, Dortmund, Barca, Bayern etc.

Benfica must be respected, but I see no reason for Juventus to really fear them. We have a great chance of reaching the EL final.

I don't know why people aren't getting it?

We're the favourites, the title is ours to lose. We have, by far, the best quality squad compared to the remaining teams.

That doesn't mean the other teams won't be tricky and difficult, but fuck saying that they're better than us is borderline insanity.

On paper we are by far better but quite frankly on the pitch for a while now we've been playing like we don't give a fuck. I don't see why for some it's too hard to distinguish between fact and reality?

But we're winning. It might not be spectacular, but the results are certainly there - so stay calm and trust Conte.

But we cant get drawn with us though.
Benfica is the strongest possible opponent we could get, they have the most chances to disqualify us, than any other team.
On theory we were also better than Napoli and Roma, but still that doesnt change the fact that they were the most capable of an early thrown of the competition.
EL is not CL, its easier to conquer, but this is the worst lady luck could have given us, again...

Exactly, which means if by the logic of some geniuses here we were kicked out of the CL group stage just bcuz of individual errors/bad form/striker duo not having enough time to gel together/bad pitch etc. by now Conte should have learned from those mistakes (as is expected) AND we definitely shouldn't fvck this up like any of those games.

Our European track record this season has hardly been the stuff of legend. :lazy:

And the other sides left in Europa have legendary European track records this year? :sergio:

Benfica got knocked out of CL in group also, by Olympiakos and PSG. They also only managed to score 3 goals in two rounds against AZ, by far the most pathetic side in the quarters.

Sevilla, they almost lost to Maribor, and then had to go to penalties to beat Real Betis. Rather poor.

And Valencia was beaten by Basel 3-0 in the first of their two matches. Sure, they won 5-0 in the second, but any side that loses to Basel 3-0 is not one I'm afraid of. That's pathetic.

I fail to see how any of these sides should be favoured over Juve due to European form this year? We've had by far the toughest road to in EL so far, had the tougher UCL group between us and Benfica, and have conceded the least goals in the last 3 rounds of the EL of those remaining.

It seems that you got the title sealed and done with.

If we struggled against a Lyon side that we out-possessed and out-chanced, and outplayed in both legs... then Benfica sure struggled with AZ, a side that out-possessed and out-chanced them in the first leg and was unlucky not to score 2 or 3.

We won 3-1 on aggregate against Lyon. They won 3-0 against AZ, by far the weakest side remaining in the competition. We are certainly the better side between us and Benfica. And neither side is in particularly great form right now.

All things being equal, we should win. Not easily, of course, but we are the better team.

I don't recall saying that. All I said was that none of these sides should be considered favourites over us. We're the best team remaining. All 4 sides have been quite mediocre in European play thus far. However, we've had the toughest EL opponents thus far, by a country mile. And we've only conceded twice. All things being equal, in terms of form and injuries, we should win. I'll be disappointed if we don't. I mean, it is Europe, and anything can happen, but we should be considered favourites.

This. A thousand time this.

But ill be really sincere..... even when we are playing like shid...i seriously expect the guys to battle in those 2 games with their teeth and nails... because man...we cannot afford to get eliminated now that we are so close.... they have to fukin go to the end of it...

You're just so dumb if you can't see that Juventus is better than the rest.

We're clear favourites, we have the best squad in the tournament, that doesn't mean the other teams aren't tough.

I'm sorry you're so ignorant you can't read. I bet I know more football than you outside of Serie A, stop trying to hide behind that.

Such a tool.
