Pretty much. But I expect we'll play better, we make a habit out of underestimating perceived weaker teams, I'm sure our players know the danger Benfica pose.

Also, when teams play us it doesn't matter too much what they did against other teams. They don't face teams with our set up and approach too often.

If Benfica plays like they did against AZ, they're fvcked. I fail to see the difference. We crushed Livorno, they crushed Arouca, we both played poorly in Europa Quarters.
You like taking comments, reverse their point, turning them upside down and delivering them back to the poster, dont you?
Sorta like your way of dragging any arguments through the mud.

Spurs? Seriously? They've been entirely mediocre all year and are certainly no better than the Viola. They'd lost to Norwich and Dnipro just a couple weeks prior. I'd say worse. And they drew the second match while missing I think 9 of their starting XI, with a hug refereeing mistake in not awarding them a penalty just before Benfica's penalty sealed it, that would have levelled the tie.

We're also easily better than any EL side they have faced.

Side note - pretty sure Spurs got a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture as well. If we come away with anything like a 1-1 or better it's a good result and I'd be confident.

I actually like that we got Benfica.

This kinda makes sure the team thinks we face a good opponent.

That is fantastic, we allways tend to incredibly underrate a weaker opponent, and show up with hangover mentality. However, when we think we face a good team, we tend to give that very team the hardest game of their entire season.

I dont give 2 shits and a crap about what benfica has done this season. if Juve is motivated, it will be their hardest game by miles.

Spurs did get a 2-2 draw, that was made to look worse because they weren't awarded an obvious penalty in the 90th that would have made it 3-1, immediately before Benfica was given a penalty to level the match.

Also. Look at Spurs starting XI that drew Benfica away. Brad Friedel, Danny Rose, Kyle Naughton, Ezekiel Fryers, Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend, Nacer Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Sandro, Nabil Bentaleb, Soldado.

I count 2 starters. 2. To draw against a Tottenham side like that, at home, is pathetic.
