Though Villareal is about as Portuguese as Inter is Italian. ;)

Though you could probably say the same about Sporting Braga for that matter...

Han?? My post wasn't anything to do with that. I was referring that things are going good for Benfica. Almost in the semis, probably we'll pass on Dynamo and Porto will have to struggle to be in the final. I'm also happy for the portuguese football, ofc. Three portuguese teams in the semis would be epic. ;)

And why wouldn't Braga be considered portuguese? If that's coz of number of portuguese players you can say the same about Benfica and Porto.

Braga is more Brazilian than the rest of the Portuguese lot. (Though less Argentinian.)

Braga - 9 portuguese players (1-3 at the starting eleven)
Benfica - 8 portuguese players (1 at the starting eleven)
Porto - 7 portuguese players (3 at the starting eleven)

That's sad, but the non-bet in the youth football is killing our football. Porto and Benfica will probably survive, but the other teams and our NT will pass for a bad phase.

Hence why I'm a Sporting Lisbon fan. They may not have the cash, but they can manufacture the youth talent.

True. They are the only ones supporting our youth prospects and they are probably one of the best football youth schools of the europe.

Porto and Benfica also make good players. These players just can't develop on a team with three or four brazilian ahead of them and then they start their famous loan cycle and puff... good prospects tot the air coz we don't support them.

:lol2:

Someone has been complaining about their fans 'singing' sectarian 'songs' again! Last time they were fined.
I saw that.

Martin Bain, the utter arsehole he is, has launched a passionate defence of Rangers.

Only problem is that he hasn't actually said the Huns didn't do it; he's just claiming other teams do it as well and get away with it.

By Rangers' logic, therefore, because some people get away with murder, no-one should ever be charged with murder.

PSV had a great chance, and now have collapsed.
Twente is finished anyways, however I hope Rossi puts another goal in the back of the net.
