why do you guys want to hear that Chelsea were the better team?
is it cuz they knocked us out of the CL?

We want to hear Chelsea were the better team because they were. Barca tried to play like they always do and they failed miserably. Barca had one shot on goal and never looked dangerous apart from the goal. Chelsea were much better in attack and could have been 3-0 up, and you're saying they fortified their defence?

They didn't play, but yes, they tried to play as they always do.
You know why is that? Because they are so one dimensional and they know shit about tactics, about playing different styles, at different tempo. When someone reads through them they become clueless and they have no way to change something.
Chelsea know how to play against different styles. They can give you a thriller with open and attacking play (Liverpool), they can give you a defensive master-piece, they can play many different formations, they can play at fast pace, at slow pace....just choose.

I remember the build-up so damn well, I remember the headlines roaming around the theme of how the best defence will be able to deal with the World's best attack.
I remember how Romario was supposed to dance his way through Maldini and Galli. I remember how Desailly and Albertini's one dimensional football was no match to Hristo's magic.
I remember exactly how football was to win against the anti-football.
I remember most though the choking. I remember in details the clueless posession and I remember and will never forget how the real football FAILED.
No you wouldn't, i'm sorry but Juventus don't even come close to Barca this year. Chelsea, Liverpool, Barca and Man Utd are the best 4 teams in Europe this year, and they are a level above everybody else.

We would have a good chance. We would not have been thrashed, and even if we wouldn't win we would have put up a good fight. Some posters were giving the impression that Barca would have slaughtered us the way they did Bayern, but I disagree completely.

I think you understood me wrong mate. I never said it was wrong for them to play in the conservative way that they did. That's their choice, they thought they couldn't match Barca if they both played attacking football, that is understandable. But do you not agree that they should have attacked Barca's weak defense more when they were a man down. I am positive they would have scored at least another goal if they pressured Barca's defense enough.
