Chelsea is definitely the better team tonight. They were steady in defence and incisive in attack. However, I would only give Pique's handball a penalty though and Anelka looked like he tripped himself. As for Chelsea players' behaviour, it is disgusting. One note to Hiddink: never substitute in Belletti to preserve a lead. Juventus and Barcelona both scored after he came in.

I look forward to the final.

back to the ball at the 95th minute? no sane un-moggi tampered ref will call that
Chelsea's come back after they conceded was pretty too late. Not to forget Barcelona were one man down.

C'mon man, that was anything but a penalty. Only an immature referee would blow his whistle for the Ballack incident.

I myself would have insulted the ref and bitched starting today till Sunday had it been Del Piero, because I'm very biased person when my team is playing.

But tonight, I had no fav team nor I like any of them, it's not even 5 % a penalty call and that would have been a real robbery.
I can't find a video of this and i didn't watch the situation again.
But i heared what Hiddink said about it. I know he's biased and you can't take his view as a neutral one, but i wonder if he's right. Afterall, he should be familiar with the rules.

He said:
"The referee waved away the two handball situations when the arms are not staying down, the arms are going up. We got one goal against us, i think it was Juve, when Belletti went up with his arms high in the wall. And that was a penalty. And i have to say what i saw because yes, it was a penalty, because the arms were going up"

with belletti, he was facing the ball and handled it with his HANDS. in barca's case it hit him with back to the ball between his back and arm(armpit area).
But still, what was his arm doing up there? You could easily argue that it was intentional.
Imo it was a pure penalty and i'm sure that i'd have said that it's a penalty even if a Juve player was in Etoo's place.
I might be wrong 'cause i'm not really familiar with the rules in these situations, but it was arms in the air, and the shot was going towards the goal. I'd have given a penalty to Chelsea for that.

its really easy imo, would you call that handball outside the box say in midfield?

In this case, it would have hit more of his arm if it was down, so he actually got his arm out of the way by putting it in the air.

There it would be much easier to call it handball and i'm pretty sure that the ref was also going to give handball foul if it happened outside the box.

Because it does hit his arm. There was more than 2m distance between them ( i think that's the required distance) so there is no space to talk about Eto'o not having time to move his arm. He jumped high with his arms up and the ball did hit his arm while going towards the goal.

Barcelona deserved to qualify to the Final. No question.

Chelsea lost too many chances after Barca went one man down, it's their fault. You either finish the game or you'll concede. It's like this most of the times.

Chelsea looked dead with Anelka chewing the ball and Essien coming down the middle trying to finish also himself.

Barcelona kept believing and playing till the last second. It's part of the game.

I would have wanted Chelsea to qualify because they eliminated Juve, but I admire this mentality "play till the last second".... my style. And Barcelona played it till the end.

Hiddink fucked up by subbing Drogba for Belletti.

Hiddink "I took Drogba off as i wanted him to be fresh for Arsenal game"

Ranieri's mentality or even worse??

They should have beaten the bald fatty. You train hard twice a day, you live for this and then some anonimous robs you.
For guys like Ballack and Drogba this might have been the last chance to win the CL. They really lived for the moment when they'll win the CL and i wonder how the hell did they control themselves not to beat the referee.

The world wanted Barcelona and Messi in the final, and the world was gifted Barca and Messi in the final.
Sad.

Biggiest diver I EVER SEEN...

Great player, ze mind boggles why the fuck he is so preoccupied with diving when he can easily bulldoze anyone and score his chances instead.

start at about 6:10, freeze it at 6:20. If Eto'o would have kept his hands next to his body, the shot would still have struck his arm, now he raises his arm, is it to protect his face or to make his body wider, who knows.

Pure penalty. It can't be more pure than this. He raised his arm after the shot was taken. It was raised on purpose. Probably to protect his face but it makes absolutely no difference. He raised it on purpose and he saved a potential goal.
