well much could be said for jose stealing alot of the glory from ranieri's foundations that he built at chelsea too, in partcular securing cech.Joe cole and makelele again jose basically tried to improve it with trash like asshole cole,mikel, anelka,kalou,malouda etc... Im pretty certain that had ranieri been given more time with the new found fortunes, he would have won pretty much the same as mourinho did at chelsea, if not more
exactly thats what i've been saying for a while. People were slating Capello so much but praising Mourinho.
Both of them believe in the same theory of any solid team would create some chances and the key is about taking them. The difference is that Capello is a bit more old school with his defensive tactics.

The thing about Serie A for Jose, is that his little games would not work with the media and the multiple run ins with them proved that. In England, when he starts his mind games and media manipulation everyone "oohhs and ahhs" and " can he even said". While in Italy they would go, well thanks son but who are you going to play and why. After games he would scrutinized everywhere for his tactical weaknesses thus exposing it and he hates it. Also his status as a champions league winner at that time was regarded very highly in the EPL while in Italy they don't give two shits.
Back to the champions, I suspect it will be another english team but I certainly hope someone else wins it or at least someone other than ManU.
Bayern have a good cup coach in Klinsi but that 12-1 means nothing imo. They will need some luck with the draw if they are to reach further stages and then maybe there is a chance.
Other than that i can't see other than Barca competing with the poms.

they bought the wrong players to start with. If you watch manu-inter its quite obvious how far inter really are, and theres no way one could put them as one of the cl likely winners.
I cant understand how a team like inter, back-to-back champs, can have so many old has been players and not bring in any new ones. You dont win CL with these figos and vieiras. I guess the money must be going somewhere else.

Well yeah, now it definitely looks like that. I thought so too tbh even during the summer but it was still open for debate back then. The flat 4-4-2 didn't work for Mancini and the 4-3-3 with 2 wide attackers was the main change that should've made Inter more cometetive in the Champions league, where you need more creativity and you can't win if you bully the other teams with sheer power as it's the case with Inter in serie A.

i fail to see what is so special about a man who only shows a blatent lack of respect for his enemies. In england you can get away with that, because they dont know the meaning of respect, but in italy there is that line of respect between the managers.

I'm with Andy here. I would so much rather have Mourinho than Ranieri as our coach. That's not even a question.
The CL can do anything. I mean, Capello was just one heads-up goal, on a flubbed ball from Emerson, away from going down to Werder Bremen at home in the first elimination round.
And crap, if you're going to complain about going down in the first knockout round, going against the reigning champions, and the favorites to win again this year, is hardly a disgrace.
While we'd all like to gloat over Inter's failures, I think this is a bit misplaced in making more out of very little that's there yet.

Galliani: The reason why the English teams are above the Italians are of economic nature. Thanks, most of all, to the fact that the English teams own their stadiums, the net profit they get per year is much superior to ours. If we don't have our own stadiums, we won't be able to compete with the English.
