great to see a team with so many homegrown stars humiliate a club that has recruited many of it's players for 15, 20, 25 even 30 million pounds. especially at the present, it's good to see that cheque books dont win games. Valdez, Puyol, Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, busquets, and Messi are all youth products. The entire midfield were all cantera products. i hope our primavera squad turn out like that 5-6 years from now.

hahaha at berbatov what a fucking lemon.

My roomi is a ManU fan... even he gave up when Barca scored the first goal :D
Just like the entire Manchowder squad.

Talk about a team that needs a respectable captain that wouldn't put up with that crap. After that first goal, ManU caved in like the whore girlfriend of a Russian oligarch who had her blow taken away.

Give it a fvcking rest already, the dude was MOM in euro and been absolute sick ever since, I mena for fuck sake, he has 35 assists this season, YES, read it again, if you dont bother to acknowledge that he has been the best midfielder around in this entire season (due to insane bias), with his only competition being Iniesta, then perhaps the stats should frigging tell you something. The dude assists FOR FUN. I mean, did you EVEN watch el classico? He assisted 4 goals like they were NOTHING.
None of which were great passes. Look, Xavi is an important player for both the Spanish NT and Barcelona, but because he's a servant, not because he's the star. He carries the ball to players who win the game. If Fabregas played in that role for Barcelona, he would do just as good.

Andries, OK, fine. Xavi isn't as great of a player as he's made out to be. Even though he's fantastic.

Name 10 players who do a better job than he does, or can out-perform him within his own role in midfield. Name them right now or just give it up.

The MVP of the match for me definetly goes for Samuel Eto'O, the game would be whole lot different if he hadn't scored that wonderful goal, the guy indeed has big nuts, he scored in the 2006/07 final too ;) Xavi and Iniesta again proved how important for Barca it is to play these two in the middle, but again there was little end product, mostly MU itself made Barca the best scoring chances.

Because most footie-voting fans are p*ssy-lickers for offensive play, that would have to be my vote among what are going to be the natural choices. :p It's clear that broke Manchowder's back, and other than awarding the MVP to Rio Ferdinand for captaining his team into crumbling irrelevance, it's the one thing you can really point to.

But blanking Manchowder on a score sheet deserves recognition independent of the individual play. And looking at individual play on both ends of the pitch, and the contrast of what an effective captain can do, it's gotta be Puyol for me hands-down.

I didn't say they do a better job. I said they'd do equally well.

Well Seven got owned (yet again) in an argument he knows nothing about. Xavi is leading the asissts in La Liga and CL, but Seven thinks that is not good enough

what a maggot
This is annoying. Read my posts. I didn't say he was not good enough. I said there are others who could do just the same. Put Pirlo in that midfield and he gives you 35 assists as well.
