If Manure won it they'd probably dedicate it to their goofball marketers and faux dominance as a footballing country.
Instead 10-year-old boys across the world are crying their eyes out.

Who do you guys think was the biggest let down of the match last night? Ronaldo choked like a hardcore porn actress but did Rooney do ANYTHING? I don't even remember that pig doing anything substantial. At least Ronaldo carried the team for, well... the first ten minutes. :lol2:
Ronaldo was actually my vote for the best player on the night for Manchowder. Giggs was atrocious, and Rooney never showed up. So I would have to say Rooney was the biggest chokemonger on the night.

Of course, the opposite is true. Messi was fine and all, but I thought Puyol actually made all the difference for the club tonight -- more than anyone else. Never thought I'd say this of the guy, but he deserved Man of the Match.

Osman must have meant assists in all competitions then.

Still, 20 is fantastic in La Liga.

And judging by the stats, nobody else had 20 assists, so Seven was wrong in saying he could name 10 other players who could perform that role. :seven:

GLORY HOLE MAN UNITED !!

Ronaldo showed up in the first half of the first half, but then he disappeared and was waltzing around like he already completed his move to Real. Perhaps he already has. But I will admit that he showed up far more than the English Pele, Rooney, who choked once again in a major match. Seriously, that guy is overrated as hell.

In my view, having Puyol play as a fullback on the night made the difference. Considering he played out wide, he was able to use his tackling skills and fight to subdue Rooney and Giggs, something he wouldn't be able to do inside. That was key.

After Yaya did great at CB at Stamford Bridge last time around, it was smart for Pep to field him there again. Puyol's tackling and tenaciousness is too good to waste inside instead of deploying him on the wings, especially when you have two tall players to deal with crosses.

Props to Pep.

Well Seven got owned (yet again) in an argument he knows nothing about. Xavi is leading the asissts in La Liga and CL, but Seven thinks that is not good enough

what a maggot

Now I would like someone to describe how Maher was watching the match, watching his team choke and at the same time watching his team control the game.

I also think having Dani Alves suspended in this match was a blessing in disguise.
I'd agree. I mean, he's a great fullback in the Brazilian definition of the term. But I think his defensive abilities are shaky at best.

It should be no small oversight that this diced up Barca backline managed to give a healthy Manchowder United a goose-egg on the score sheet.

True true... After his Molinaro act in the semi's I wonder if Pep would have fielded him at all in the finals, even if available...
After the past performances, I wouldn't have fielded Alves.

Puyol on the side made quite the difference.

It was important that Pep fielded defensively sound players at the back. Surprisingly, Silvinho looked pretty decent.
