Imo it was the linesman, stopped a one on one opportunity and a goal. He kept Arsenal in the game, Almunia was good, but no match for the linesman.

Arsenal made it so easy for Manchester to dominate the game, very slow movements, players didn't fill the box to wait for crosses and when they did the wide players played the ball to the ground instead. But that aside I have never ever seen a team able to recover the ball in such a manner as Manchester United.
