Ibrahimovic: Inter Are Better Than Liverpool

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has declared that Inter are better than Liverpool despite the English-side’s victory on Tuesday night.

The Nerazzurri face a huge task if they are to qualify for the next round of the Champions League following their 2-0 loss at Anfield in their last 16 first leg tie.

"I believe that Inter did well for 85 minutes,” Ibrahimovic told the Gazzetta dello Sport..

“Then Cordoba got hurt, and this was a serious blow because Ivan had done well until then. But not only him, we all fought, all ten gave the maximum.

“Then in the last five minutes we conceded two goals and it was like a knife through the heart after all the work he had done up until that point.”

Ibrahimovic was then asked if Inter should play with three strikers for the return leg at San Siro. "This is a decision that Mancini has to make,” he said.

“We must score at least two goals. There are two things we have to execute. The first is to attack because our game is made to attack, not to defend. ”The second is to play eleven against eleven because on Tuesday evening that was not the case.

“Then you will see who is stronger between Inter and Liverpool. And I still believe that we are stronger.”

Ibrahimovic was one of Inter’s most disappointing players on the night at Anfield and will be hoping for a much improved display at San Siro in three weeks time.

:disagree: The conceit and arrogance of Ibrahimob*tch is beyond belief!

To go through, inter need to win by 3-0 at least. To do that at CL level, teams need to play as a team, not go around blaming referees, calling the opposition "divers" nor blaming their own team-mates for the team losing points. Is Ibra implying that for the first time in decades, inter are going to play as a team?

..... or is moRATti going to bribe the referee? :(

That's the only way, I see them going through!

Apparently, Lyon fans were shining laser beams onto Ronaldo in the match yesterday. Hilarious if true.
I don't care if it was Ronaldo or Del Piero. Actually, that's a retarded fan who should be punched in the face.

And if he ends up costing Lyon something, hopefully his seatmates at the stadium will take up their obligations.

Inter actually are a better squad than Liverpool though. It's just that they don't have enough class and that they will always fuck up. In fact I find it very strange they haven't imploded in Serie A this season. Then again they probably would have if not for the 'aiutini'.

Yeah, but you can't analyse it this way in football. Comparing individual players doesn't make sense at all. Zlatan was hinting as a team, Inter as a team and Liverpool as a team.

Personally, I think that the arrogance of this player will lead him to many black roads with no exists.

Ibrahimovic is not arrogant. He is a kind and warm hearted person that cherishes his close ones and will always provide a good laughter.

And besides, you are buying these media nonsense fairy tales all too easily. They take a comment and twist it into something that he did not say. There are several examples from the last few days alone. Journalists and especially pseudo ones have no dignity.

The guy just walks around like a pissed off bitch on a period every time things get a little tough and don't go his way.

I know you're big fan of him, but he's arrogant and no need to deny that. It's pretty obvious for everyone. You can tell from his charachter on the pitch.

I agree about media exaggerating things, but the last couple of days, from Mancini vs fans to Zlatan vs Matrix, it was all correct according to Inter officials.

Yeah, that is funny, i've never seen him fighting for a ball. Working his ass off and sweating like a real player.

I just can't stand players playing with no heart but figures and fame.

He is arrogant on the pitch at times, I'll agree to that. But outside he is a good guy. He really is, but not many people know that because of media labeling him as a rebellious kinda guy.

That is his way of playing, he saves his energy for when he has the ball at his feet, and then he is likely to win the game for you. I realize that is questionable behaviour and might seem unfair to teammates but that is simply how he works.

Saves his energy? The guy is 25... would be "fun" to watch him at 30+ then.

He is 26, but that is not the point. What he does is he is not wasting/using his energy with defensive duties, but instead saving it for attack. I am not justifying this way of playing, I am merely stating that it is the way he does it. Of course, that does not mean he is entirely unfamiliar to working hard in defence, he is just not doing it quite as hard as the next striker.

I agree with all that, mate. Reason I found it funny was the randomness of it.

and another thing , I just watched the extended highlights of Lion-ManU, what have they done to Boumsong.. he had (almost) perfect game.
boumsong benifitted from the laser beam. i saw it once and that was when ronaldo was one on one with boumsong. i was kinda pleasanstly surprised that boumsong beat him until i saw the green laser beam on ronaldo.
