seeing as juve aren't there this year, surely there is some team/s you would hope to win it all. who would you guys back this year?

i always hope for an italian team to win it, preferably roma or lazio which is unlikely so if anything, milan (depite the fact that they are our domestic rivals, plus the further they go the less they focus on league). i only hope inert doesn't win anything, in fact i hope they are embarassed in that crap group they drew.

No matter what the form I go for Hibs...but if Hearts play in Europe I support them.

I would be sweating if I was Madrid fan. Lazio and Bremen arent the best in the world, on their day, they are capable of beating anyone, as Lazio's demolition of Roma proved last year. That group is quite easily the group of death IMO.

As for Manchester United, I think they will be safe. They and Roma are just too good for the oppositions. Its really a matter of who coming first to get easy bye next around since most Italian and English team will finish first in their group.

On a plus side, I think this CL is arguably one of the most balanced even by recent standards. I am not impressed by the qualities of so called best teams compared to great European teams of Juve, Milan, Real Madrid of the past, so I wouldnt be surprised if any of the underdogs go far into competition as long as they make it through the group stage. Pity Bayern is not in the competition; I would have fancied them to win it all.
