It´s nothing personal, man. It´s just that I hate Milan, and I don´t feel comfortable choosing my words about them in a Juve forum. :)

Vieira envies Milan spot

Patrick Vieira has launched an attack on Champions League quarter-finalists Milan, insisting Inter deserved to be in this position instead.

“I cannot understand how Milan can participate in the Champions League after everything that happened,” said the midfielder on RAI television programme 'Sport Sera’.

The Rossoneri were originally excluded from the competition in the wake of the Calciopoli trial, but won their appeal to enter via the qualifying round.

Vieira was at the centre of the scandal, as he saw the two titles he won with Juventus stripped and the club demoted to Serie B.

“I realise other people might have a different opinion to mine, but I find it difficult to figure out why they have been allowed in to the tournament.”

Despite the circumstances in which the two teams entered, Milan are in the quarter-finals for the sixth year running, while Inter fell on the away goals rule to Valencia in the last round.

“The ticket to the next phase was within our grasp. We were a little unlucky and my absence also had an influence on the result,” said the Frenchman who missed those ties due to an injury.

“Despite the fact we were the stronger team, we were eliminated because we were under too much pressure. We hope it can go better next season.”

Vieira has just returned to the Appiano Gentile training camp after several weeks in France for treatment to his serious knee injury.

“The rehabilitation process is going well. I am improving and hope to be back on the field in around two weeks.”

In other Inter news, assistant manager Sinisa Mihajlovic is celebrating the birth of baby son Nikolas.

mega loser to say the least

anyway about the milan game, Nesta played a great game and hadn't he got fouled in the 2nd goal i think he would've somehow got to the end on that ball

also micheal Rensing was just great in goal, hes going to be bayern's full time keeper in two years time when Kahn retires and he proved why the Bayern management trust to fill those huge shoes

Milan r still in it and if a team could beat bayern at home its gonna be them

Sad to see PSV go down like that, a pundit in here asking for the 2nd leg to be scraped for that encounter as they have no chance. But i think it will be interesting at least with psv knocking two goals early

Grosso envies Milan's position

Fabio gross expressed his opinion on the city rival's position in the Champions League quarter-finals, saying Inter deserved to be in this position also.

“Milan should not have participated in the Champion's League after the summer scandal,” said the midfielder on RAI television programme ‘Sport Sera’.

The Rossoneri were originally excluded from the competition in the wake of the Calciopoli trial, but won their appeal to enter via the qualifying round.

Grosso, a World Cup hero, moved to Internazionale in the summer and was asked to be part of the team defending the title awarded for the Nerazzurri.

“Some think otherwise but I personally think that Milan should not have won the appeal and should have stayed out of the competition.”

Considering how both teams participated in the competition, Milan are now in the quarter finals while their city rivals left the tournament against a strong Valencia side.

“We should have won the encounter against Valencia, the game was in our hands when we played in Milan and we let in two goals that were very crucial,” said the World Cup Champion.

“We were obviously the stronger team but we had Patrick Vieira missing and that was a big loss. We are already working on a much better result next season”

True but then again every club has had its fair share of flops
Except inter, who've had more than their fair share!:p

Gila will not be playing in return his stupid act of scoring goal after the wistle brought him yellow card and now he can't play in return.
Obviously he didn't hear it. Plus he was ONside. The ref was an idiot for carding him.

Oh and Bayern didn't do an excellent match. Both goals were pure flukes and the only chances they had in the game. They should have lost the game with atleast 2 goals.
