I feel for Valencia - they top the group, and get their bogus team in Inter!

I feel Inter is superior in just about every single department and sadly, I cant but think Valencia being knocked out at last 16. I seriously wanted Lyon for Inter.

Roma has tough tough draw. But one thing that do go in their favor is the fact Lyon will start this as favorites. It will be interesting to see what they can do when there is a pressure to win. Playing as an underdog is quite different from having huge pressure, and knowing there isnt any margin for slip-up. I bet this one may be closer than one may think. 53-48 Edge to Lyon shall I say.
goalkeeper= Canizares>>Julio cesar
Defense= Inter have a better defense
Midfield= Vieira-cambiasso-stankovic-figo
Albelda-Baraja-Joaquin-Vicente
Attack= unless adriano can make a rapid recovery, Valencia have the upper hand
Villa>>>>>>Ibrahimovic(villa is 10x better than ibra)
Morientes<Crespo(not by alot)

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munchen :tup:

Gee, did I miss classic clashes of those two...

Forza Bayern in this one ;)
:agree:
Me too, but Real owned them in last 4 matches :frown: , Bayern is not strong like he was 5-6 years ago, but still they are good enough to upset them...

Forza Bayern...

With Capello's lame tactics at Juve we were able to beat Bayern 3 times out of the 4 matches. Real are playing much better than Juve were playing, so I expect them to get the Bavarians easily.

Now I made an expectation, m_elayyan will think I am a Real fan.

i disagree completelly, and no this is not because i fancy valencia. the only advanatge inter has over valencia is squad depth. that can indeed prove crucial in the end, but if both teams are injury free and on good form, i wouldn't give the edge to inter, not a chance.

surely inter is in a better leauge position than valencia at the moment, but lets be honest, this is a crippled serie a leauge and the la liga is probably 2 times more competitive at the moment. valencia have lost some of their momentum and have had big injury misfortunes, but the second round is a couple of months away and if everyone gets fit for valencia, i'd say they have a much better chance of advancing than inter.

CL Season 2002/03, Quarter-finals

Internazionale 2-2 Valencia 1-0 / 1-2 *

*Inter were through because of the scored goal in Valencia.

Season 2004/05 Group Stage, Group G

Valencia - Inter 1 : 5
Inter - Valencia 1 : 0

imo, tradition in those cases doensn't mean jack shit. there's a first time for everything.
Keep hoping, Valencia fan...:p :D

this years competition is the most boring since 1999/2000.. :lazy:
Is it because of lack of Juventus or...:confused:

As much as I hate Ibra, he is better than Villa anyday of the week. I find Villa to be grossly overrated since I don't follow La Liga every week. In Europe and for Spain he has been average at best.

Crespo is far better striker than Mori. Better movement, better in the air, more clinical in front of goal. Cruz, Adriano, Recoba arent too bad to have in the subs bench idea. Oh Stankovic and Viera are far superior to any of the Valencia midfielders you mentioned.

There is nothing I hate more than Inter, but that team is loaded. They have bench to match Chelskis (though Chelski probably judge edge them in this department), match winners up-front, solid defenders at the back, and boring as us last year.

That is not say Valencia doesnt have a chance. But they are overrated by many, and I think Inter go into this fixture as clear favorite. I say 55:45 is probably be the difference between two teams.
