I guess we disagree again.

Well I thought they were many instances where Cole just found Messi to be too good dribbler to effectively handle. The moment he got megged in the second half IMO clearly illustrates this (The cheeky bastard then tries to do Hernan Crespo on Terry). I guess this is largely due to the fact that Messi has lower center of gravity than most wingers out there. More importantly, perhaps, Messi has a tendency to drift into middle and move into the terrotory where it is difficult for Cole to pick up. The kid is very clever, and he sees space that rarely few players can see. I remember a play where he played little give and go down the flanks, and suddenly drifts into middle and starts playing give and goes with Dinho, and the next moment you know he nearly threads in killer pass between the Chelsea backline. This is clearly not A.Cole's fault because the you can't expect full back to break the line and man mark a player and praise the freedom and fluidity Barca can play when they are on song. Being a good tactician though Mourinho made a nice adjustment by, as Sateeh pointed out, by ordering Makelele to immediately hack down Messi anywhere near the ball comes near him - and we all know Claude is peerless in this regard.
Speaking of Mourinho, I have to say (I will eat crow and my initial suspicion) he is certainly one of the best out there. As good manager as he is, obviously he didnt need 3 lesson to fully master Barca. BTW, Chelsea more than earnt their money on their draw. They were more than match in many periods, and despite their inferior technical ability they won out in other part of the pitch. They had a clear penalty claim ignored as well as denied a balantant dismisal of Marquez who decided to rip apart Essiens dick with intent. I guess we can agree on this.
