i cantbelieve chelsea won to be honest!!!! i think barca looked very exhausteed specially when u consider the interntional cal ups, followed by the game against sevilla. can one please explainto me how rijjikard removed puyol to bringin olegur???? i was shocked i automatically thought the logic which was replacepuyol with thurum. anotehr subsititution that shocked me was how he started with gudjohensen in the first place and then he replaced him with guily insteadof saviola??? any way i still think barca will win the second leg when its played in the nou camp.

i actually thought that he had some very good substitutions, but chelsea were just too defensive and wouldn't budge.

He knew that chelsea didnt have any width and so he didnt need gio anymore.I understand why he took Gudjohensen out cuz he needed something different and he didnt expect that puyol would get injured.

it wasnt a great game anyway. Chelsea had it their way.Didnt give Barca anytime to get to any rythem.Boring style but effective. They got their chance and took it.

Boulharouz owned Ronnie, although i think if it was anyone their he would've owned him(he was that bad). But Credit to Boulharouz really.
A player that was really really bad was Deco, wat the hell is he doing. He didnt get one pass right all night. He was the one who should've been subbed not Edmilson. He was clearly off-form.

Messi gave everyone a hard time.Especially cole, who couldnt handle him at all although hes faster.

Anyway now this group is interesting, Bremen will make things interesting against both those two.

Its a pitty to see Zambrotta in Barca:(
It is obvious that he is "alone" there... you can see that he's not part of the team... He BELONGS TO JUVE! Shame on him!

i wont speak about Hamburg cuz its just a shame.Getting drubbed that way by an average team like Porto is just shameful.

Real r going better in the CL than in the league  (not that well but better)

It is not that weird that HSV are playing bad.

Boulahrouz left to Chelsea - he was a rock in defense, excellent defender.
Van Buyten left to Bayern - he was a rock too + a Captain of the team, it is obvious that Kompany cannot replace him.
Barbarez, an important player for them in attack - retired.
Van der Vaart - injured for six months already, and we all know how important he is for HSV midfield.

Porto proved they are not an average team, although they are not the shadow of Porto 2 years ago.

Real Madrid played an excellent game, they really surprised me pleasantly.

They played as a team, not just spoiled individual stars.

Crapello might get something out of "fallen" Real Madrid.

I would like to mention Robinho especially. I was delighted by him. Numerous dribblings, shots, passes + a magnificent Goal.

This kid has to be starter for Galacticos.

Real has a very good team, but they have to get rid of brats like Ronaldo, Cassano and Beckham.

They do not contribute to the team at all, and are doing bad for the team atmosphere.

(Everybody should watch how Werder destroys Levski tonight  )

Like destroying Levski is a big deal.:disagree:

On the other hand, Bayern is already in the 2nd round.:agree::weee:

2 wins away are enough to pass the Group.

i am guessing its barca wining tonight, chelsea have a major goalkeeper issue, not to mention ronaldinho is starting to reurn to his old self. its too hard to predict the out come but i have a strong feeling its barca wining tonights encounter.

Barca deserved to lose, Ronaldinho, Deco, Messi were in a bad mood.

It is obvious that Gudjohnsen cannot replace him, the man was invisible last night.

An what is with Zambrotta, I couldnt recognize him. He didnt go forward once in the game, nothing of his good crosses and in defense he was not quite impressive.

Barcelona style of play definitely doesnt suites him.

Chelsea GK, Hilario, was very confident and solid.

Not to mention Essien, Lampard and Drogba - they were fantastic, especially Drogba who is better than Shevchenko.

Shevchenko is stating to lose his killer instinct and pace, Chelsea made a mistake for giving 45 mil. EURO for him at this stage of career.

yeah HSV underestimated the value of their top defenders and now they r paying the price. But apparently they were a bit unlucky. (check the Bundesliga thread, i posted an article and in some parts it talks about HSV's misfortunes.

Robinho's goal was a deflection. I didnt see the game so i wont comment on him.

Ronaldo is not rubbish at all. He still has loads to give imo. He just needs a new breathe imo, something to fight for.Cuz he seems disliking football the few times i saw him play

FORZA MOSCOW

Good guessing, mate! I m kind of surprised that PSV beat the Turkish side away.

Although they didnt deserve it - Galatasaray had their chances for doubling the lead and they wrecked them.

For all of you Barca lovers

Khalid Boulharouz literrlaly OWNED the dancing clown last night, welll done.

:agree:

Boulahrouz is excellent, just what Chelsea needed, a very pleasant surprise.

Ronaldinho couldnt breed, although I think that is because Chelsea and Barca play against each other for 3rd year in a row.

Mourinho has read Barca style of play and deployed an excellent formation which stopped Messi and Ronaldinho. Barcelona is lost when their trident attack doesnt function well.

this is where i disagree, he just deployed the most balanced formation he could (the diamond) but still the holes in that formation are really evident especially going forward.

but the interesting thing is that the champions could be knocked out now :D

Yeah, but HSV got good money for both of them.

It s a shame cause I think if HSV kept their best players for a few years instead of constantly selling them, they would be a force in Germany and Europe like they were in 80s.

Robinho dribbled through three players and placed an excellent shot from the edge of the area. And I didnt see any deflection.

OK Ronaldo maybe has some sparks left, but Cassano and Beckham are just un-necessary for the team.

Who is gonna kick them out? Werder? :disagree:

Excuse me, but Mourinho made some good moves last night and tactically outclassed Rijkaard.

It could have been more than one goal in Valdes net...

u underestimate Werder my friend. They r a good team and i think they will cause some problems

honestly i didnt see that much of mourinho last nite, but mainly was due to the fact that his team got the lead and looked comfortable at the back.

Well, he is in a different country now and in Barcelona he knows nobody of his team-mates except Thuram.

It takes time to adjust to the new team.

They ve got no chances on Nou Camp, Barca is gonna kill them.

They could make problems to Chelsea at Bremen, thats true.

Dont forget that Barca has now 2 home games, thats a big advantage for them.

Anyway its gonna be interesting, but I highly doubt Barca is gonna get kicked out.
