As much as they are a joke, they still have great players. Imagine you are a Inter fan, you put on your "Inter-produced" Blue & Black rimmed glasses. All of sudden the world is a different place, Moratti is god, Inter are top of Serie A, having been robbed the previous 150 years of the title, going to win the European Cup, before the evil Milanista's come in and cheat their way to winning the trophy. Throw in a few bad decisions by the "evil" ref, throw in the anxiety & depression Inter fans must suffer from, and you have a potential flare throwing incident arising...Of course this is only after, a "innocent" Inter fan is beaten up on the pitch, whilst trying to save a kitten stuck in a tree, which just happens to be inside the San Siro...
i understand what the inter fans feels know , they are depressed cause they have the best players every season with no titles since 1989

I have some points to made for the Inter-Milan game after I watched the game and the starting minutes of the reply.

Sheva knocked down Materazzi accidentally as he was running back to his position during Inter's 1st goal kick. As Toldo was about to take the 2nd GK, Materazzi walked up to Sheva to confront him and he fell to the ground after touching Sheva's head when Shevchenko didn't even move. I suspect that Materazzi was playacting and trying to get Sheva sent off. U call that a headbutt? Materazzi is 1.93 m and Sheva is 1.83 m. I really wonder how Sheva can headbutt Materazzi in the 1st place.

Cambiasso's goal is legal. I don't know y Merk cancelled it. This must be the reason that triggered Inter fans into raining flares on the pitch. And also as kurvengeflüster said, the fans shouldn't have even reacted in this way. A total disgrace to football

Are you kidding? It was a full on head-butt, without doubt...I hate Materazzi as I am sure most people on here are aware of, but it wasnt play-acting for sure...

Lucky for what exactly?? dont tell me your questioning Lampard's ability! Deflections happen all the time. If Bayern weren't good at finising, that doesnt mean Chelsea were lucky. Specially Ballack, as his shoot accuracy was terrible.

Lampard is lucky, but I suppose he makes that lucky by shooting "so many" times from long range, but he has something like 7 deflected goals this season, that IS luck.

Anyway even if Sheva were to headbutt Materazzi, both of them should be sent off. Materazzi is obviously trying to make trouble out of Sheva.

Anyway I juz received news

GENEVA - the Uefa has announced that it will not open an inquiry on the head of Shevchenko to Materazzi during Inter-Milan. The forward of the Milan will not come therefore disqualified.

Wrong, even if Materazzi had said something that isnt enough, Sheva is experienced enough to ignore it, he re-acted thus he should of been sent-off, I dont totally agree with that but that is the law of the game...

Most of Lampard's shots are on target, if he was shooting towards the corner and it hit Terry's balls and the ball got deflected to goal, then that is LUCKY. You might call the goal was lucky or whatever..

Lampard is a world class player.

Was Moratti real Inter target? Wednesday 13 April, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rumours in Italy are suggesting that last night’s abandonment of the Milan derby was a premeditated attack on Inter owner Massimo Moratti.

The Champions’ League quarter-final between the two Milan clubs was brought to a stop on 73 minutes after Nerazzurri fans threw numerous objects onto the pitch, including a flare at Rossoneri ‘keeper Dida.

It was initially thought that those actions were as a direct response to the fact that Inter had a seemingly good Esteban Cambiasso goal disallowed by referee Markus Merk.

However, sources close to the Curva Nord – the section of the ground that caused the trouble – are allegedly claiming that fans had planned last night’s events for some time.

Numerous e-mails were sent to the ‘Pressing Champions League’ TV programme on Tuesday after the game which seemed to ‘confirm’ such a view.

It’s believed that the objective was to affect Inter both on an economical and image level, in an effort to send Moratti a clear message.

The Inter owner, who has pumped millions into the club over the last decade, doesn’t have a great relationship with some sections of the fans after collecting just one UEFA Cup since he took control of the outfit.

bayern were a better team yesterday, much better for that matter but chelsea managed to score 2 goals, one from a lucky deflection, lucky because had nthe ball not hit lucio kahn wouldve saved it, and another from brilliant header. but bayern were all around chelsea and failed to capitalize their advantage, call it whatever you want, when the better team goes out i call it lucky.

I hate it because of the way Chelsea played, 50% of the time Chelsea had 11 players in there own HALF, and the other 50% they had Cole, Lamps and Drogba there, wtf!! AND they played a striker in midfield? Why not play 4-4-2 and have a decent exciting game of football, if you lose at these you can know you played in a great game...
