Fabio Capello’s position on Real Madrid’s bench is in doubt after Sunday’s defeat to Deportivo La Coruna.
The Merengues have been defeated in the last two matches, conceding five goals without reply, and are now in third place – five points behind La Liga leaders Sevilla.
The Spanish Press hit out at the former Juve Coach, dubbing the Galacticos’ latest performance as a ‘disaster’, as stated by newspaper Marca.
AS instead wondered if the results are worth the £70m investment that the club underwent to please Capello’s requests.
It also reported that the tactician was summoned on Monday morning by sporting director Predrag Mijatovic to discuss the team’s situation.
Real Madrid’s management traditionally have a meeting on Monday morning, but it usually takes place after training at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, today’s training session was guided by Capello’s assistant Toni Grande, adding further weight to the claims.
President Ramon Calderon did not attend the meeting but was informed of the fact and is expected to be back in Madrid on Monday evening.

to be honest, i dont think madrid's problem lies in its manager, thats to say i doubt its capello"s fault alone. madrid has been in the down side of things due to the massive inability to communicate between the super stars found in the team. not to mention that in the couple past years, real madrid has gven up on being a huge soccer structure to becoming a mega million marketing organization by buying super stars just cos there name holds a massive market value, for example becks, roberto carlos, figo, ronaldo , etc the list goes on.
lets not forget capello is'nt mancini ( even if i disguise both a great deal but the truth has to be said about capello) capello does'nt kiss his super stars ass for example u dont find capello care if a player of ronaldo's caliber plays or not in the starting 11 or not unless he is in terrific form. the same incident happened with del piero at capellos 2 year stay in turin. we might disagree but thats the way it really is. offcourse capello has made exceptions for this rule with the likes of ibrahimovich, and emerson andi think he has softened abit compared to his early years of managing teams where it has been well known thathe is a very strict tactican who doesnt consider the value of names unless they preform what is required exactly..
i think capello despite reals weak preformance has shaped up this team compared to last year and the year before it were real was lucky enough to finish up in the standings to reach and qualify to the champions league.

i dont think lippi will be taking madrid, if its capello's last days in madrid i think mourinho is the most likely candidate for managing madrid and if this does happen i think it would be a really good spell for madrid. ( i really want that to happen i would love to see how he handles a team like madrid who has finances, the reputation, and facilities to lure any player to sign for the team.)
