It´s the opposite way, Valencia will drop down cause they are doing too good now...

BTW Sevilla is not a typical case of previous seasons, FFS they owned Barcelona and Real Madrid.

so? take palermo for example, this season they beat lazio, fiorentina and milan all away, and those are some of the hardest away games in the season. look at them now, everything just started going down hill for them. and they too had a really impressive start to the season. i see the same thing happening to sevilla, both them and palermo will finish in the top 5 probably, but they have no chance of the title.

Sevilla is much stronger than Palermo and the two biggest teams, Roma and Inter, beat them while Sevilla beat the two biggest, Real and Barcelona.

So, your comparison doesn´t exactly hold the water.

like i said sevilla still have the momentum, so did palermo not 5 games ago. i'm pretty sure they won't be able to hold it for much longer, they lack squad depth, something which is probably the most important in winning a championship. barca and real have both squad depth and overall much better quality than sevilla.

btw, barca beat sevilla this season. please tell me you weren't refering to the super cup match? that's before the season even started.

FC Barcelona will be without Gianluca Zambrotta for four weeks after the defender pulled a muscle in his left calf during the FIFA Club World Cup final.

I´m not saying they will neccesarily win Primera, but they will finish in the first three for sure, don´t forget that Barca and Real are still playing CL.

that's silly imo. juventus is in serie b after all, points penalty or not they whould have to fight like crazy to get abck in serie b. but true, the points penalty gave some extra motivation. but milan's -8 in serie a is like 16 in serie b. that's a huge handicap, not to mention fiorentina's -15. can you imagine the disapointment of the team, especially fiorentina's who had a cl spot lost as well, when they see what they have to compensate? and when they remember the terific season they had last season taken away from them? it's a huge blow and it surely has a lot to do with their performance this season.

i know what you're saying and what you said with your first post on this matter. i think they could finish below third place very easily, but the chance of a "surprise" in front of barca or real i just don't see happening, 3rd to 5th is their realistic position.

i agree with vltako on this one mark, come the 2nd part of the season we will know if sevilla were pretenders or contenders. Barca and madrid have better squads than them, so thats why i dont think they could go all the away and if they beat athletico and valencia in the standings for the CL spot they should be satisfied.

beating real and barca means nothing as the league isnt won by beating those two.
